If I could I'd put less than a star. I'm on lunch break (in a hurry) and I pull through the drive through at 1 pm on 8/11/18 (about 20 minutes ago) and make my order of "2 orders of 1 fish and 3 hush puppies (Total cost should be 3.98 before taxes) and an order of cheese curds." The total comes to $8.17. I wait patiently for 6 minutes for the car ahead of me to complete their transaction. Then pull up to the window to wait an additional 5 minutes before I am acknowledged. Finally the woman doesn't say anything but reaches for my money. I handed her a $20. She proceeds to hold on to the money while taking orders from 2 cars behind me before completing my transaction and handing me back $11.83 in change. Hands me the bag and asks if I would like any sauces after handing me the bag. I asked for" a handful of the malt vinegar packets". She happily handed them to me. I drove away fully confidednt that my order was correct. It's a simple enough order. So upon opening the bag , much to my dismay, I was missing an order of fish and hush puppies. Saddened by the fact that I cannot drive back for fear of being late to work, I attempted to call them in order to resolve this issue. Not looking for free food but just wanting them to be aware of an issue. The phone keeps ringing. No answering machine no one answering. And now I'm very upset because while $1.99 is not a whole lot to some. It is the sustenance that has been robbed from me due to the apathy and incompetence of others that I am now upset about. And so on that note I give this location the worst review possible. Thank you...

I eventually locared my fish fillet buried deep within 5/8 " of batter. It was a mere 1/8 of an inch thick! No exaggeration.
There were some pieces slightly thicker, but I'm being generous when I use the term "slightly."
This was the first time in at least 15 years since I last set foot in a Long John Silver's. I should have gone another 15! I chose not to return then because of the lack of value. This occasion was because a buddy of mine wanted to try the so-called all you can eat deal!
I see that nothing has changed. They're still using the same cheap tactics to trick their customers into believing they are receiving more for their money.
Why else would you put down a quarter inch of batter crumbs underneath the fillets? Other than to give the illusion that the already batter filled fillet, is thicker than it really is.
Then there's the 3 free hush puppies. Fried corn bread to help fill you up if you're easily conned, or really hungry but now you can't afford to eat elsewhere, or you don't care about your health at all.
The coleslaw is absolutely terrific! The container it comes in will fit in the palm of your hand with room to spare, but it's the best quality product they have to offer!
If you're in a mood for a fast food fish fry, may I suggest Captain D's. They're hard to find, but they actually try to give you a fair deal. You know, almost as much fish as there is batter. I think you'll find one still in Dade...
Read moreWe have always loved fish no matter where we go. Our local Long John's was top of our list for so many yrs., but eventually went downhill and fast in the last 10yrs. It was sold. Employees had really bad attitudes towards customers and were ALWAYS screwing up our orders. Many times we did not know that our order had been 'shorted' a couple of items...or even a whole platter on our order, until we got it all the way home, (12 miles away). So we were forced to go back in order to feed everyone. This is where the employees would turn rude, and snarky towards us. So we stopped going completely. Plus the food tasted really old as if it had been sitting around then reheated. Ugh! ALL this to say, that a new Christian owner came along 2/3 yrs ago a bought it, and REALLY cleaned house. I had a long talk with him when he called me, about the decline of his store. He wanted as much information as he could get. He apologized all over the place for the employees bad attitudes, and assured me that he would be starting over with a new crew...and that's exactly what he did. All he asked in turn was to get our business again. So we have since returned as regular customers about every 7 to 10 days. And boy, what a difference. Service with a smile all the way. Food is 200% better...always fresh. Fish, chicken, fries/hush puppies are always piping hot. Restaurant is always clean. Now I can NOT say enough good things about our Spring Hill, FL store.
