I have a disgusting impression of this place. It is called LOVE, and it is funny and sad. There was no smell of love there. I went in with my husband for the first time today, ordered coffee and 2 cakes. We were sitting outside, there were few people. We were not bothering anyone. But before dessert, I wanted to eat lunch, bought in a Russian store next door. It was one o'clock in the afternoon and I had not even had breakfast yet. The saleswoman ran up and started yelling that you can't eat your own food here. They had no notices about it. I said that it was bought here (they have adjacent premises and both are Russian, to be honest, I was sure that it was the same business). The woman yelled again that these were different businesses and said that "if I get poisoned by someone else's food here, they will be held accountable." The last time I heard such utter nonsense was in the Russian provinces about 20 years ago and this rude tone too. By the way, usually in America you can eat anything, anywhere, especially if you order it on the spot. I left there right away and started eating on a nearby bench. My husband finished his coffee and left too. No one from that cafe apologized. We took the cakes with us and only now have I tried them. This is HORRIBLE DISGUST. Like an old rag that has been lying around, flavored with old rancid butter. The aftertaste is terrible! And these people think that you can get poisoned by something other than their dishes? It's unlikely. By the way, the lunch from the Russian store, because of which I was kicked out of this cafe, was very tasty and fresh, unlike their cakes....

Read moreI have eaten at this location multiple times. The food is fine and the service can be hit or miss. This review is for my visit today (11/21/2021), as my server (Juliet G) was a real show. My mother and I (party of 2) came in for breakfast. We cat down, got our own menus, and generally looked over what we wanted. When Juliet came over, she seemed nice. Took our order for tea and left. We decided what we wanted, and then placed out order with Juliet. The food came some time afterwards ( about 10 minutes or so, so don't expect a fast turn around time here). We ate, and I piled our done dishes on top to make it easy for Juliet to grab them,. She gave us our bill and I began to pay. I was short on cash a bit, so I did not leave my customary 20% tip. I left a 12% tip. Juliet began to say I was not leaving enough and was breaking a Labor Law. Needless to say, my mother was incensed. I did feel bad and wanted to leave her more, but my mother was upset that this woman try to state there was a LAW to leave more. She tried to show us the receipt to show the values & on the receipt itself it says SUGGESTED.
My mother stormed out and I followed. Again, I would have been happy to come back and get her more when I had the cash, but this woman told us to never come back.
I will take that suggestion and never come back, as the lies and insanity of demanding a greater tip left a sour taste...
