Rancheritos De Boca WEST - A Colombian & Latin Culinary Fiesta in Boca Raton
Tucked away in the heart of Boca Raton, Rancheritos De Boca WEST is a true gem that brings the flavors of Colombia and Latin America to life. During my recent visit to this charming restaurant, I had the pleasure of being served by the friendly and efficient waitress, Maria, and was truly captivated by the exceptional quality of their fish dishes.
From the moment I stepped inside Rancheritos, the vibrant and inviting atmosphere immediately transported me to the heart of Latin culture. The colorful decor, paired with lively music, created an ambiance that felt like a fiesta.
Now, let's dive into the fish dishes. Rancheritos takes their seafood seriously, and it shows. I had the privilege of savoring their "Pescado a la Plancha," a grilled fish dish that was a revelation of flavors. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky, and seasoned to perfection. It was accompanied by a medley of vibrant and zesty Latin American sides that elevated the dish to a true gastronomic experience.
The menu at Rancheritos De Boca WEST offers a rich tapestry of Colombian and Latin dishes, from traditional arepas to succulent steaks. However, it was their dedication to showcasing the flavors of the sea that truly impressed me.
Maria, our waitress, not only provided excellent service but also shared her insights into the menu, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Her warm and accommodating demeanor added a personal touch to the evening.

Read moreChanging my review a bit, I am really not the picky type, but I visit them every Friday to buy either pandebonos or empanadas for the team at the office, sometimes I have to wait until 8am to be helped even if I am already inside the restaurant which it's ok I understand the attendants work by the hour or maybe they don't want to spoil customers and make them think they can get service out of service hours who knows anyway that's not the problem, my problem it's been with the aji, they either give you too little or they don't give you any at all, today was nothing at all nada!, I forgot to emphasize about it because I figured they already know me. I really don't know what's their deal with the aji, there's not empanada without aji, aji and empanada it's the most obvious thing for a colombian, when you serve empanadas aji is always present, is it to save cost?, then put a price to the little to-go cups it will sucks, but at least you won't feel like you're asking for a huge favor and that you have to ask every single time for a few cups (even if you stop by every Friday). On a side note, sometimes the empanadas's crust looks like it's been re-fry from the previous day (I hope I am wrong about that).
That being said, the empanadas are the best you can find on Colombian restaurants and so is the aji, the Pandequesos (pandebonos) are the closest you can find to a pandebono caleño.
I think the problem is mostly service, I actually like the service better at the East...

I called the restaurant and while she ( I think she said her name was Lodi) admitted that they forget the items in the order, she refused a Credit Card refund and she told me that I could come back the next day for the items. I tried to explain that given my work schedule that I would not be able to. Her response to me stating I could not come back to the restaurant was to then try to belittle me for requesting a refund for such a small $ amount.
She could not of been more rude and condescending over such a fair and simple request...you forget an item I paid for, you return the money. She must of been dealing with something else because there was really no logical excuse for her to speak to me in such a hostile tone...especially when I was very polite and when requesting a refund for the items not provided.
Also....Please keep in mind that even though the item is only a few dollars, I also paid a little over $2 dollars in a "service fee" to order online and also tipped them on top of that. Regardless of the $ amount...its the principal...I dont believe you should pay for something you do not receive.
Sooo....Please note that if you order online from this place and they dont give you everything...they will not give you a refund and then be rude to you if you request...
