I have always loved Marco‘s gluten-free pizza. I rave about it, I refer gluten-free pizza lovers here, etc. Last weekend I called in an order. I wanted a gluten-free cheese pizza. I was told they don’t do gluten-free anymore. I was bummed but I ordered the rest of the families meal and then I went to pick it up. When I went in to the store, I wanted to clarify that they no longer made gluten-free pizza. The man at the counter said we don’t make gluten-free pizza anymore we just have a cauliflower crust now. I said well, that would be your gluten-free crust. He said now I really don’t think it’s gluten-free. I said sir, that’s why they make cauliflower crust, to be gluten-free. He continued to tell me that their cauliflower crust is not gluten-free and they don’t have a gluten-free option. Meanwhile my husband called another Marcos location and asked if they still had a gluten-free pizza. They said yes we do have gluten-free pizza but now it only comes in small instead of medium which it always has come in. He said oh what is the dirt made out of, and they told him it was made out of cauliflower just like the original one was. It just comes in a different size. Come on people that work in the Northdale location, get your...
Read moreThey have great pizza but unfortunately you could be overcharged. July 31st we ordered a medium pizza with 2 toppings and a medium pizza with 5 toppings and paid $23.31 Today we ordered the same pizzas except the 2nd pizza had 4 toppings and we paid $30.60 minus a $10 reward that we earned because of previously purchased pizzas, so $20.60 When we called to question the bill the manager said he could not give us a lower price than $30.60 because their system only accepts one discount and the $10 off was a better deal than their current sales price. However this was a "LOYALTY REWARD" of $10 and not a coupon. The manager refused to adjust the bill. He also said the 1-topping medium pizza for $6.99 is a sale price on their corporate website and the Northdale location does not always have that same price. It's not alot of money but it's the principle. We are so disappointed because we love their pizza but it does not feel good to feel ripped off.
UPDATE : I am happy to say we were contacted by Mike D (onwer and operator) and he resolved the issue fully. We love Marco's Pizza -- it's the best ! And are happy this issue was resolved. I updated from 2...
Read moreThe manager, mike is extremely rude and disrespectful. I called with a coupon that did not have an expiration date. The employee put him on the phone and he said " the fact that you dont believe my employee is a problem and it is your problem not mine because I'm not honoring your coupon" . A simple explanation would have been sufficient but he apparently needed to show his employees how to " take care of business". Well mike, let me tell you something, I owned 4 restaurants for 25 years and someone like you would have been fired for you behavior. I will definitely make sure that I find out who the owner is so I can let them know that not only me but everyone I can get the word out to on social media will no longer order from this business. Good luck. UPDATE: Mike...
