McDonald's — Restaurant in Florida

I have stopped here 3 times over 3 years and the only thing consistant about this place is bad service and bad food. They 'forget' parts of your order. A year ago, on top of everything else that was wrong, we ordered a chocolate milkshake, half of it was orange and the other half was chocolate. When we complained about it, we were told that was the way the machine did it. HUH? This last time, 10/22/2010, the french fries were burnt, the large order had just enough fries to fill a small order. My son got a happy meal with apple dippers. They forgot his chicken nuggets, the was no carmel sauce for dipping. At first they tried to tell us carmel sauce didn't come with it, then the excuse was they were out. The big macs, as usual were just thrown in the box, but what made me giggle was mine had 1 piece of lettuce on it. Not a few pieces, 1 flat piece of lettuce about the size of a 50 cent piece. I've seen this before with this chain. They set one up next to the interstate, and by the time you figure out you've been ripped off, you are too far down the highway to go back and complain. Hernando Mississippi was my first experience with that. Almost empty french fries and when I complained the manager asked how was she supposed to know I didn't already eat them. The only saving grace in that arguement was the lady who came in demanding where in the 'Hell" her french fries were from her order. Apparently, like myself, she got the packaging but no goods. Even one star is too good for this place. Normally I don't complain, but I'm tired of getting ripped off and have decided that if I get burned, I'm gonna let everyone know so they don't get burrned as well. Now I'll probably get a visit in the middle of the night from Ronald and the boys for speaking bad about...

This McDonald's is located along FL 71 and is just south of the interchange with I-10. The place is fairly easy to get to. My visit here was on August 25, 2022.

My mom and I came in here after checking out of the hotel. Since the hotel didn't really have anything that we liked for breakfast, we came here before continuing to head west. I happened to look at other reviews on here after checking in, but we rolled with it.

When we came in, we were greeted by the manager. She said that she would be with us in just a moment. One of their workers came over to the register to take our order. The ordering kiosks were down, so it had to be done at the counter. We kept breakfast simple. I went with a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and my mom went with the Egg McMuffin with regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon.

Within a few moments, our order was ready and picked it up at the counter. Both the biscuit sandwich and the Egg McMuffin were hot. You can tell that they were just freshly made instead of sitting on a warmer. We both had to wait a moment or two for it to cool down a bit. The biscuit that I had was done perfectly. It wasn't overcooked like I have had experiences at other locations at home in Virginia. My mom made the same comment to me about the Egg McMuffin too. In the end, the breakfast items we ordered were the way we should see it be in all McDonald's locations.

Overall, this was a good visit. The staff were friendly and the food was great too. I can only speak to breakfast here, but if I happened to be in the area in the future and needed a quick breakfast, I would...

This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a McDonald's! We typically stop at McDonald's whenever we are traveling because of their clean restrooms and we know the food is going to be good fast food. But this one takes the cake! I stood at the counter and waited, and waited... and no one would wait on me. Granted, they were a little busy at the drive-thru window but no one ever even spoke to me or would come to wait on me. finally I turned around and went to the kiosk to order, which was simply a cold drink and a coffee. I went back to the counter to pay and was ignored again. meanwhile three girls came in and were waited on immediately, got their food and blended beverages, and no one had still waited on me. My granddaughter had been standing there long before they came in and was still waiting on her cafe mocha. The girls left with their food and drinks, while my granddaughter was still waiting after about 15 mins. So, I finally went and got the attention of someone in the restaurant and told them my granddaughter was still standing there waiting. The woman apologized and said apparently they had given her drink to someone else. They finally made her cafe mocha, and I walked out without my beverages because they never fixed my order, and I was so angry at being ignored! I have worked in the food service business for over 25 years, and believe me they need some management...
