Went twice both times on a Sunday. Some server in a baseball flat brimmed hat, worst service I ever had. Went back, got him again. Will not be going back. Food was pretty darn good. Very difficult to talk to this man, wouldn’t want to check on the soup of the day, wouldn’t want to check what the dessert was, wouldn’t reccomend anything he likes on the menu. Driest dude on earth, went back had him again, he would not take our order, hounded him on other side of bar to please take our order it’s been over 15 minutes. They were not busy. After he took our order, he never returned, ny corn beef never came out, my wife finished her food, I had to reorder with a manager. The waiter walked by me over and over went to the bathroom, walked out ignored me. I needed napkins refills and an extra side of horseradish, made couldn’t even figure out what type of bag I chips were on his menu. I think he might have a mental problem, that is not basic human behavior, I think he may be in the wrong profession, maybe he’s just related to the owner and they deal with him. I had to get my check from a manager or whoever the other guys were I had to big. It’s not a big place, don’t know how he can stand around for so long near me ignoring me. Made me feel very uncomfortable, like I did something wrong, or he was punishing me, I am a very easy person to wait on, I don’t ever leave comments. But man this guy brought out the petty in me. Even with bad service I always tip well, this guy I wanted to stiff, but his coworkers were nice and eventually got me on my way. So I left a good tip. A really cool place that I doubt I’ll return to. Maybe just to go orders...

If you haven’t been to McGregor’s Public House, you’re missing out on the best damn pub experience this side of the Atlantic.

Run by Tom and his wife—two of the most genuine, community-driven people you’ll ever meet—McGregor’s isn’t just a bar. It’s a second home for first responders, locals, travelers, and anyone smart enough to know that good food, good company, and cold pints still matter.

The food? Next-level. The kind of quality that makes you rethink what pub fare should be. The staff? Top-notch—friendly, fast, and always on point. You walk in, and you're greeted like family. You leave already planning your next visit.

They back the blue, the red, and everyone in between—constantly supporting local causes, businesses, and the people that make this community what it is. That’s not just lip service; that’s how Tom and his wife run things. Old-school values in a world full of cheap shortcuts and fake reviews.

And speaking of fake reviews—let’s address the sour-faced clowns who take to Yelp and Google to write hit pieces from their mom’s basement. You know the type: never stepped foot inside, wouldn’t know a Guinness from a glass of motor oil, but somehow they’ve got an opinion. Don’t be fooled. These folks couldn’t tarnish this place if they tried.

McGregor’s is the real deal. No gimmicks. No corporate fluff. Just good people doing things the right way.

So forget the keyboard critics. Come see for yourself. Raise a glass. Shake a hand. Eat like a king. And when you do, you’ll understand why this is my go-to spot for life.

Sláinte to Tom, his wife, and everyone keeping McGregor’s heart...

The atmosphere is great the first time! I came here earlier this year around July and the service and food was great don't recall the waitress name but she had short curly hair and she was delightful explained the dishes and recommended what she thought was best in menu and it sure was she took care of us and made sure our drinks were always filled lovely gal! (Food photos are from first time visit) would give it a 5

The second time visit wasn't so great. I came during the end of December and the service was just bad. When we walked in we weren't greeted sort of ignored. And when we sat down it took them a good 10 minutes for a waitress to come give us a menu. The young lady who served us was a red headed gal. Didn't offer us water just gave us menu and walked off, seemed like she was annoyed to be at her job. Once she came back around she asked what we wanted I ordered a Guinness and Coke with two waters (never brought us the two waters). It took a good 8-10 min to get our drinks while we waited another waitress came along I believe to be the manager and asked us if we've been helped since we were sitting in the table now for 15+ minutes with nothing on the table then we proceeded saying we ordered drinks. Because of this we just ordered one drink and didn't bother ordering food since service was just bad we didn't wanna wait anymore than that. It was a shame since my first impression of this place was great but not so much now. I'm willing to give it another shot just hopefully next visit it's more friendly as the lady was when we first visited this place. Just for her ill...

Loved our visit to this fun place. Laid back and relaxed. Everyone chill. Food was great and not overpriced. Servers were attentive and friendly. The music this evening was superb 👌🏻 Didn't expect to hear Steve Earle in Ft Myers. Recommend and will return.
