Miami Grill — Restaurant in Florida

We are normally very pleased with Miami Grill. We have been going for ten years (back when it was Miami Subs). Aside from the occasional wait time for the drive-thru, Miami Subs has never disappointed. We have always come back. Recently, things have not gone great. I am not sure why their online portal to order food for pick-up is opened for the public to use. We ordered a a simple meal at 7:10PM through their online portal which was supposed to be ready for pick up at 7:25PM. My husband arrived at 7:40PM and they had not even rang the order up nor the two online orders that came before us. The gentleman behind the register ended up having to ring the three orders in for the three parties right there on the spot. Husband left with our food at 8:01PM. 10 minutes late, 15 minutes late, even 20 minutes late...fine, cause we try to be understanding and patient. But almost 40 minutes late? Once we received our order (shame on us for not checking before we drove away), it was ALL wrong. The three items we ordered were all incorrect or missing ingredients that we paid extra money for. My husband had to turn around to drive back to complain and wait yet again for them to fix our order. Don't even try calling.... Phone rings and rings and rings. At this point it's 8:25PM. The first thought I had was Miami Grill? What happened to Miami Subs? Well... I'm happy and satisfied of what they have become. Clean, great ambiance, table service crispy, well seasonned food made right at order. Almost feels like a top line restaurant. Great portions for money. Very friendly CSR and manager. Nice relaxing atmospher (soon to have a sports bar inside for game nights). Had a classic philly with seasonned fries. The sandwish portion blew my mind. I was expecting a 6 to 10 in sub, but received a very packed, full wopping 12 in. The philly was cheesy, gooey, hot, tasty. The peppers and onion crisp but still soft and cooked. The bread held well and not at all greasy(as have become a trend for this type of sandwish in my experience in the Kendall and S.Kendall area). The meat melted in the mouth, well seasonned. In all, a must have if you are looking for a tasty philly. The fries were perfectly seasonned and cooked, none of them burnt or too dry, crispy outside, soft inside. I honestly don't understand how this place has a 4.3 rating. God forbid your the third car in line, your waiting 30min plus. Ordered a burger with extra onions and was given a veggie patty with no onion. Gyro didn't even come with a single taziki sauce. They hoard those self stable blobs of taziki sauce like it's gold. Also don't even bother calling the listed number, no one answers and the voicemail is eternally full.

UPDATE: Don't be fooled by the quick automatic response of the "Customer Service" team telling all the negative reviewers to reach out. I've called twice and left a voicemail with my complete number and name and have had zero people contact me back.

Also I've noticed something sketchy. There seems to be a bogus five-star glowing review every time someone posts an honest one star review. I'm pretty sure they're trying to cancel out their negative reviews so that their score doesn't drop on Google. All in all I'd rather just stay away. Bad management, bad customer service, bad company, shady...
