Below you will find an out of character experience I had at this restaurant. Within 24 hours José reached out to me and informed me he had wished he was there to fix the issue. Not only did he reach out to apologize AND REFUND ME, but he offered me a 50 piece party platter and went all out! He told me to claim it whenever I wanted to treat my friends or family. My nephews first birthday is today, and with this quarantine we’re all a little sad we can’t celebrate. With just a few of us at home, we are celebrating and eating this delicious platter AS PROMISED. I left the previous review up so that you can all see how professional and family oriented Jose handled the situation. Thank you so much Jose!
AWFUL customer service. The owner is very rude and unprofessional (also pretty young). Ordered something for pick up and the employee working there stated that she gave my order to someone else. Not only did they not remake the order for me, but they would not refund me the money. They informed me that it is not their fault if the order was given to someone else. The owner of the restaurant and her employee spoke while my sister was inside and the employee also informed my sister that the owner was there. When my sister asked to speak to said owner, the employee went to the back and the owner pretended not to be there. Upon speaking to the owner on the phone, she was extremely unprofessional and laughed frequently. She also told me that it was “not [her] problem if someone pretended to be [me].” It was more sad than upsetting because I really did love their food. Sad to find out this is how it...

Read moreI was hungry late one night when I found Milly's to still be open on Yelp and decided to give it a try, especially since my boyfriend is Venezuelan. The location is a very small shop filled with a punch of style. The menu is simple and takes up most of the back wall. I was starving so I ordered the Milly's Famous Pabe Yoyo $8 while my boyfriend got two empanadas: chicken and domino (cheese and black bean). He absolutely loved his empanadas and from the quick bites I snagged thought they were delicious as well! They certainly do no compare though to the monster I received....the pabe yoyo is sweet plantain slices with pabellon criollo, queso blanco, and creamy black beans, all battered and flash fried. I loved it! It was so big that I could barely finish it in the shop and had to take it home to finish eating later.
While we ate and waited for the food we had the wonderful opportunity of speaking to Milly's daughter who really added to my experience there. She told us her family's background and how far they have come to even be featured on Diners & Drive-Ins! She also told me that their family strives to support the community by hosting events and always changing the art within their shop with artists of the area. Can't wait to see what more Milly's does and to go back for a fulfilling breakfast as she did say that their breakfast empanadas was one of her...
