July 2023 update: The staff has turned over since 2017, no surprise there. They now offer "arepas", which are corn cakes, as the means of carrying your other ingredients. However, you get much more fillings if you get nachos, than if you get arepas.

Chipotle, eat your heart out. I have no clue if their ingredients are all organic, or non-GMO, and frankly, I don't care as much as I should, because the burrito I had there for lunch yesterday was probably the tastiest I've had in my life.

The ordering and paying procedure is also fairly novel. Both days I visited, two very helpful and very free-spirited-looking young ladies took my order, and wrote it on a paper bag with a marker. I don't know exactly why I found that quaint & novel, but I did, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Then, when they swiveled the screen around for me to sign, it took me a second of looking for a stylus to realize, there isn't one, you draw your signature with your finger, also charming, while being high-tech-ish.

The atmosphere here is laid-back and my 3 daughters loved seeing the lizards on the wall outside, like you find everywhere around here. You can just sit, chill, relax with a beer from their cooler, but if you forgo the burritos, you're missing out.

After you order, you mill around kind of like at Starbucks, waiting for the burrista to finish making your burritos, then the lovely young lady with braids in her hair from the ordering process finds you with your sack-o-burritos. Space inside is limited, but they also have tables outside.

The hot & cold taps in the restroom are on the opposite sides you normally find them.

The next time I come to St. Augustine, I am definitely coming back for some of...

Ordered from uber eats and they gave our order to the incorrect driver. Never received our food 👎🏼 People reading this please check the comment below from Mojo's. Response from the owner

"Why you giving us a one star then..freaking lame dude. We gave the food to the driver. Give uber eats a one star not us."

Very professional response. No apologies just shift the blame - thats "lame dude" It doesn't matter how good your food maybe. What matters is how you pair your service with your product and accountability.

Replying to your lengthy message. More prospective information for you. We did phone the shop and the answer was "not our problem" when clearly it was because your emplyees gave the order to the "incorrect" driver (that is your fault to begin with and Uber driver never checked which is on them) so to say I came straight to google to complain is incorrect (again alot of misinterpreted information from you side) before calling customer "lame" which is rude and unfriendly you should have offered an apology first and then try find the truth out. Some more side information. This order caused my entire group (on holiday visiting your town to only eat dinner around 11pm. Which is why the 1start. Your response has clearly justified the 1start with your lack of customer relations and handling this situation. Had you been a better buisness owner and responded with grace and respect then that star would ave been changed. But alas it stays 1star because of your contious poor handling of the situation.) PS: I am at peace and have forgiven you but that does not mean your not accountable for your actions. PPS: customers always right even if they are wrong 101...

I am extremely disappointed in my visit, and in the overall Ownership of this establishment. I couldn’t even make a dent into my meal due to the focus I had on the poorly kept fish tank positioned by the bathroom doors; completely greened out with algae, & to my surprise it still contained two very very ill fish (that I could see rising to the surface) barely floating holding on for dear life. When I addressed the staff regarding the issue, asking specifically how long the tank had been like that, and if I could speak to a manager or even better the Owner, I was met with a frenzied reply of “Honestly, I couldn’t even tell you how long the tank has been like that, but someone’s coming out tomorrow night to look at the tank.” I explained to the young brunette that the fish would more than likely not make it thru to tomorrow night; having my own history with owning fish for most of my life & when I asked to speak to a manager there was no manager on staff that I could speak to, so I was handed a number on a brown paper bag to call. I feel that isn’t enough. I offered to take the fish home to a safer environment; I was denied, I offered to pay, I was denied. Mojo’s Tacos in Saint Augustine co-signs animal cruelty even when they are met with a solution, I truly hope something is done for the sake of those sweet little fish babies & I would hope others would agree how absolutely NOT OKAY this is. Whether fish, dogs, cats, birds, horses, ALL animals deserve to be taken care of in any regard but ESPECIALLY if you’re going to put them on display in the middle of a restaurant like Mojo Tacos. I’m disgusted with this...

My son and I stopped in on a whim as we were visiting St. Augustine for the day. They have vegan options and my son got the avocado tacos. I got the Mahi Mahi tacos. He comment the tacos were really good and would go back for more and as to try other items on the menu. We agreed the house sauce is spicy but not too much, you can load it on your chips or tacos. We like all kinds of spicy food though. The extra salsa was mild, good, and tasty. Overall I will visit again and again, they sell the tacos À la cart. I didn’t see a taco combo or taco platter, however, you can mix and match items that way. I ordered pretty quick and didn’t take a lot of time to analyze the menu board. Instead I asked a staff member what their favorite item was and they recommended the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. She wasn’t wrong, I see why they are a best seller. Very delicious, well cooked, and flavorful. I’m going to try the burrito and other items as time goes by. They have arepas too, great idea. The restaurant has a small dining area inside with air conditioning, big windows, and lots of natural light. They have a patio outside too. Decor has a kind of edgy and surfy feel, yet family friendly as I saw all ages there, including younger and older families. Staff was polite, helpful and nice, kitchen was productive and everyone working there had a positive vibe. Great place right near the beach and the historic area is not too far down the road. 🤙

My friend took me there for lunch as it is one of his favorite places and the tacos are some of the best I have had in NE Florida. They tacos is unique, because their shells are double decker, a flour tortilla outside of a corn tortilla held together with cheddar cheese, so non-dairy people need to be aware of this. I picked out three tacos one beef, one chicken, one shrimp. They were not stingy on the meat when it came to the beef. My buddy recommended a spoon because he guaranteed that the beef with her back onto the plate as you get it. The show held together nicely which is a rare exception. The shrimp had a beautiful charm them. Added another level of complexity and smoking us to the Taco. The chicken-flavored was amazing, but my only complaint with the chicken is that the meat was a little dry. They make an excellent mojo sauce that is a great topper for all the meat that I tried today.
