This was our first time ordering from this pizza place and the food here was delicious. However, I placed an order at 5:27pm yesterday that said it would be due/ready at 5:52pm. I arrived at the store around 5:55pm just to give them a couple extra minutes in case it was needed. I was greeted when I arrived and asked if I had a pick up order, which I did. Then I was told “we’ll call your name when it’s ready”. So I’m thinking maybe another 5 minutes max. I didn’t receive my order until 6:17pm and when I did… there was no initial apology for me waiting 27 minutes to receive my online order after it was supposed to be ready. So I asked the girl is this typical to have such a long wait for online orders after they’re due? She stated they were pretty much behind trying to fulfill a bunch of orders. But, I told her that I would appreciate an apology in the future if I have to wait that long. They all did finally apologize for my long wait after that. However, I think it was poor customer service to have me waiting 27 minutes after my order said it would be ready. It’s also ridiculous that I had to tell them an apology is warranted for that inconvenience. The food was very good but I thought it was extremely careless to not even give me updates as I’m sitting inside waiting for my order and to not think to apologize for the long wait. Especially because I was patiently waiting , as I could see they were working constantly. However the least I expected was an apology because 27 minutes is a longtime to wait for an order that was supposed to be ready. I think they need to change their system to say estimated wait time or something because no one wants to wait an additional 27 minutes for their order. This was not 5 or even 10 minutes…. This is 3 minutes shy...
Read moreI dined here based on a suggestion from a friend and after reading reviews. I suppose I should have read more about the location, because the first thing you notice upon waking in are the limited tables, and the four tables there are quite small. So, this is a nice setup if you're having a few slices getting pie to go.
I wanted to eat in and opted for a 16" cheese pie. I generally order something plain whether I visit a new place in order to determine how well they'll do with other items. The pie was brought to the table in a box, and that took up at least 50% of the table. There are no stands on which the pizza can be elevated above the table. Spices? Only red pepper flakes and parmesan, each in individual packets. Drinks are limited to the items in the cooler.
As for the pizza, and this is only my opinion, it was quite bland. The crust was great, but the pizza had very little taste. Why? The cheese to sauce ratio was too high. I could barely see or taste any sauce, and the sauce I did see at the edges was limited and dry from the baking. It felt like I was eating just cheese and dough, and the cheese didn't have a good enough taste to overcome that. It would have been better had a little more tomato sauce been added. Better, not great. Overall, it was...

I'm not a pizza snob, and I don't eat it regularly. Because of that, when I do, I'd like it to be enjoyable and worth the sodium & carb indulgence.
Maybe it was an off day, or someone forgot salt in the dough. As a result, it tasted like cardboard, with almost no flavor, unless u like the taste of cooked flour, oil & w/e else is in there, sans any seasoning.
I love sausage on my pizza, but I'm not a fan of it being sliced for that application. A good, flavorful crumble of sausage will suffice.
I realize pizza preferences come in a wide array, and it can be a testy topic of debate. With so many choices and the rarity I actually eat pizza, idk if I'd return.
Whether I leave a positive, negative, or mixed review, an important part of my choice to return is the response from the owner. As a business manager, I feel it’s important to acknowledge all input, positive or negative. It shows the owner cares about customer feedback and will take it into consideration.
While I don't always take every single review at face value, I read many and make my decision to patronize a business, not solely bc of said reviews, but also based upon...
