Iโm giving this place 5 stars, because I KNOW how hard it is to do what they are doing and I appreciate the incredible effort and sacrifices they are making to do this. I saw this place pop up on Facebook late last night and saw the bagelsโฆ then immediately made plans to make the 40 minute drive to visit. (I live in Cape Canaveral) We got there early this morning, 7:03am They had a huge fresh selection of bagels in baskets beautifully laid out exactly like O remember from New York. They kettle their bagels, they bake them in house, they make their dough, FROM SCRATCH and you can smell it as soon as you walk in door. Theyโre Miss happened, real, home made bagels. They have the crust, they have the toppings, they have the flavors. I was surprised to see a staff of 7-8 people there so early but I get it- they are training and they are brand new so it is so much better to be safe than sorry. Things like this will work out over time, be patient with them. We got 1/2 dozen bagels and my guy got a tub of whitefish salad to go. I was hoping for a vegan cream cheese or a hummus option but they didnโt have one available yet- again, be patient with them, Iโm sure these things will come in time. My guy loved the whitefish salad. As for the quality of the bagels? Iโd say a completely honest 9/10. They have nailed them almost perfectly and theyโre so close in quality to some of my favorites in NYC (Thompkins square, Essa bagel & Zuckers) I look forward to visiting this place often and watching as they get comfortable, situated and find their groove. All of the makings are just right for this place to be a cornerstone / mini franchise in this community and Iโm 1,000% rooting for them. Get up, go there &...
ย ย ย Read moreOn Thursday morning, I finally visited this bagel shop, located conveniently right next to WinDixie in Rockledge. As someone who visits Jersey a few times a year, I know what is a good bagel. Most of the time, I refuse to buy bagels down here from the grocery store as I know I will be disappointed. Thought to give this a try as something new. I didn't have high hopes, however they quickly changed my perspective.
From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed in and I ordered the Sunrise Hwy on an onion bagel with a Natalie's Orange Juice. I went and sat at one of the tables located in the restaurant. You had the option of sitting at one long table with tall chairs or at one of the tables on the other side. Whom I believe was the owner, a sweet lady, brought me my order and said Thank you for coming in. Hope to see you again. Upon opening the bag, it was a gigantic bagel toasted with a fresh egg (no fake powder egg, as most places are doing nowadays) I could tell they actually cracked an egg and cooked it, with fresh shredded cheese.
I was beyond impressed and left the bagel shop feeling nice and full. Bagel was amazing. Environment in the bagel shop was so lovely. I can tell they care about their customers and care about their craft. I would come back to this shop another morning to try something new again.
Thank you Long Island Bagels. Your mannerisms and your product...
ย ย ย Read moreI got 3 bagels $3 each. Service and atmosphere were so amazing!! Very nice people, had great convos and all the customers were happy! The food came out in a timely manner. Iโm from Long Island, and these bagels are absolutely from NY. The only reason Iโm not giving it 5 stars is because of the toast-ness. A lot of the reviews I saw complained of โdryโ bagels. The bagels themselves arenโt dry, but I believe how they toast it or how they store it becomes that way with humidity. That is not on them at all! Thatโs just Florida lol and fighting humidity is impossible. The taste and crunch was pretty good! But the cream cheese? Out of this WORLD. I got garlic and herb on one, scallion on another. Both so good. How they stacked the cream cheese on bagel? Exactly how NY does it! Genuinely impressed. Although this is not a spot-on Long Island bagel place, this is a GREAT attempt at keeping the culture alive and living it....
