Went to the Estero location last night for dinner. Server was very sweet and friendly. Table of 3, we decided on margaritas. We ordered frozen but received on the rocks. No big deal easy fix and they were delicious. Ordered an app, which came promptly. Food took a little longer than expected but we were fine. The food came out looking like a 5 year old threw it on a plate. Ordered 2 shredded beef burritos with beans and rice. The burritos came on 2 separate plates and were swimming in some sort of soup on one plate and not on the next. One luke warm and one cold-cold. Fajitas were an undercooked peppery mess and missing a protein. Server was very apologetic. Took some of the food back while we tried the refried beans that looked like they had been sitting on the plate since last week along side this flavorless hard rice. We decided to leave. Asked for the check. We waited and waited and waited. She said the manager would be over with our check. The manager never came. Finally we walked up around the bar area and the server had the check. We paid for our drinks and my husbands food and took a box for which he tried to eat at home and was gross and threw it away. $55 what a joke and none of us had dinner. No manager tried to come over and say anything. We will never be back!!! We enjoy the other locations but not sure we will ever go back...
Read moreI've eaten at this restaurant, probably 40 times over the last year and a half. I've given it a solid chance but feel like I have to leave a review.
Their portion sizes used to be larger but have gotten much smaller over time. They microwave everything. Unfortunately, with the exception of their steaks, I've had many friends get both hot and cold burritos because it's clear they're microwaved. The food comes out far too fast and clearly isn't fresh. Unfortunately as well they don't know how to cook steaks. I've had steaks probably 50% of the time that I've been to the restaurant and almost every time they're either over or undercooked and the quality of the meat they use is very low quality and very tough and hard to chew.
The staff although friendly constantly misses things up. There's never been a time where I order tortillas which come with virtually every meal where they get them correct? I always have to return them and get different kind of tortilla in the original kind that I ordered. This place could be great but unfortunately for the quality of the food and service it's overpriced and I cannot recommend it. I won't be...
Read moreIt was expensive, flavorless, and sour. This was the second experience we had at a Mr. Tequila chain. The first in Naples was meh. This place is so bad that it is worth my time to communicate. The only reason a person would think this is good is if they normally eat out of the can and microwave. Taco Bell is even better than this place, and Taco Bell is usually trash. Everything we had was bland and / or watered-down. The salsa was merely canned tomato and water. Straight out of he can, very thin, no flavor, no spice. We ordered queso as well, and it was obviously also watered-down, so thin it would not hold the spoon, even after it cooled.
Worst of all was the chicken. It tasted like it was hate boiled in a crockpot without any seasoning, then allowed to move, back and forth, from the kitchen to a malfunctioning walk-in for a week. The chicken was so sour that I was literally burping it up for my entire journey home, and I only ate one bite. I should have followed my base instinct to spit it out. Disgusting and absolutely a huge disrespectful action to serve this...
