Recently, our company engaged Ned's to cater an employee luncheon, hoping for a seamless experience and quality service. Unfortunately, our encounter with Ned's fell far short of our expectations, leaving us rather disappointed with several aspects of their service.
Upon initially contacting Ned's for a quote, we were provided with a price estimate, a fundamental aspect in any business transaction. However, our experience took a downturn when, less than a week later, we notified them of our state entity status—exempt from state taxes—only to be met with a sudden $50 increase in the "market price" for the meat. This deviation from the original quote left us perplexed, as honoring the initial price quote should have been standard practice.
Portion sizes were another significant issue. Despite expecting adequate servings for 20 individuals, the portions of vegetables provided were notably meager. The promised assortment—cabbage—was conspicuously absent from our meal. Instead, we received an unexpected substitution of croissants drenched in garlic butter, a far cry from the anticipated side dish. Especially since we spent $473 for an insane amount of prime rib, a side of mash potatoes, a little bit of green beans and carrots, and garlic butter croissants. We expected enough sides to feed 20 people because that is what we paid for.
Furthermore, our request to exclude bacon from the vegetable servings for our vegetarian guests was disregarded, resulting in an inclusion of bacon against our dietary specifications. This oversight was disappointing and inconsiderate, showing a lack of attention to detail and customer preferences.
Additionally, when attempting to resolve outstanding balances for drinks, Ned's displayed an unwillingness to collaborate or accommodate our request, further contributing to our dissatisfaction with their inflexible approach to customer service.
In summary, our experience with Ned's catering left much to be desired. The deviation from the initial price quote, insufficient portions, unfulfilled promises regarding menu items, and a lack of cooperation for drinks all culminated in a subpar experience for our company luncheon. Regrettably, we cannot recommend Ned's catering services based on our disappointing encounter.
We sincerely hope that Ned's takes this feedback constructively, addressing these concerns to enhance their service quality and ensure a more positive experience for...
Read moreSo I normally love Ned's, however each time I go lately the service has gone down hill. I normally never leave reviews, however this is the only way anyone paying attention. So tonight I ordered a to go from Ned's. As soon as I got on to order my food I was rushed. I ordered a BLT salad but was give a total and told to pick up in 15 mins before I could even tell her I wanted to add extra dressing on the side and goat cheese to the salad (which in turn made the $14 salad $16+). I actually had to interrupt her trying to get off the phone with me to add those things on as well as order my son's food (kids hot dog and a sprite) too. So we finally got off the phone. I went to pick up the food when handed me the food completely tied so I couldn't check it. I asked for my son's sprite she said I didn't order it , and I said I did but I ppl aid for another one. Then I finally make it to soccer practice early to eat dinner before practice and guess what no silverware or napkins . So again I had to pack my son up and drive all the way back down to the other end of town to get silverware and napkins. I know everyone's short staffed and there's many different variables that restaurant are dealing with these days, however I go there a couple times a month, and the young women that served me had worked there for years. Not to mention I was never given a receipt so God only knows what I was actually charged for. Just disappointing. I don't mind paying higher prices for food etcetera, however I don't think that should be the experience either. I know this isn't their nor.al standards but restaurants owners need to know what's going on in their...
Read moreFirst time here. Walk in to be greeted with a nasty glare for the waitress. No greeting nothing.
Thankfully we did get miss grumbles section. However, at first our waitress was pleasant but she was rushy almost pushy like we were a bother to her. She wanted to cater to the table that got seated after us. Even asked to take their order first, but them took ours. Ok great.
Food was very very good. Made up for horrible service. Hailey, the waitress, walked barely to table everything okay, didn't even hardly answer and she was gone again. To never come back. We sat not eating for 10 minutes. Again Food was great, but filling and we wanted Togo boxes and refills.
She seated a table next to us, didn't look up and was ready to run when I hollered for her, to make sure we were still her table or not.
Never asked if we wanted dessert, then tried to not even hand Bill to me wanted me to pay blindly. Unexceptable. Wow cannot believe this is how you treat your new customers and yes we did tell her it was our first-time trying the restaurant.
May try it again but will definitely not be seated in either of these little girls sections. You expect tips, earn them. Just taking a drink order, food order (rushed), and bringing it out doesn't earn you a tip. You need friendly people that like their jobs and want to be there.
I recommend the food but they really need to find some happy people to wait the tables. They seem miserable. (Maybe that explains the large amount of Togo...
