UPDATE: I called about an hour after the original incident. I was able to speak to a manager. He explained that the restaurant was extremely busy when I called before. I was offered another pizza at any time I wanted. I ordered my pizza later that week. It was up to its usual standard and had the appropriate amount of extra cheese and bacon. It was delicious. A couple of days later I ordered a sub and lasagna with their meatballs appetizer. The food was wonderful. The service again bothered me. I left, got to my car, and discovered I was given a salad. I hadn’t been asked if I wanted soup or salad. (My recollection is that I’ve been asked in the past.) I went back in, explained things, and the girl argued back that it was my job to tell them. I was baffled and about to leave when another worker said my name and then I was being asked what soup I wanted. Then my name was announced again as it was being given to me. Then it dawned on me how much my name had been “loudly” used when I picked up the order. Weird. Read into that what you want. I will too. ORIGINAL: I am extremely disappointed in this business. I have been a loyal customer of NYPD II for over five years. Tonight I ordered an extra large pizza with EXTRA CHEESE and bacon. Either they had a new pizza maker or they changed the quality of not only the pizza but how they make their pizza. First, if they made the pizza with extra cheese then they definitely changed how much they put on their pizza. There was very little cheese on my pizza. Second, their customer service was poor. I called and was told I couldn’t talk to a manager for an hour. AN HOUR! I was told that I could get credit for extra cheese ($4)-WHOOPEE! She said she could send out another pizza-in 40 minutes. That was until I told her my daughter had eaten some. Then she covered the mouthpiece to talk to someone-the MANAGER. SO she could talk to the manager but I couldn’t?!?! Wrong-VERY wrong! When I was told AGAIN I couldn’t talk to the manager-yet she could-I hung up. Third and Finally, I ended up eating some of the pizza. It was NOT up to the standard that NYPD II has been in the past. The pizza tasted like shoe leather. The lack of extra cheese made it overly chewy and the absence of bacon was very noticeable. I wasted my money. Simply look at the photos and you’ll see what I’m talking about. They’ve lost a customer. NOT because the pizza was nearly inedible, but because of their “customer service,” or lack thereof. To put me off when I ask for a manager is inexcusable. Especially when the help can speak to the manager. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going elsewhere.

Our order was placed through DoorDash, so while we didn’t experience any direct customer service issues, the food itself left much to be desired. Basic essentials such as utensils, napkins, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes were noticeably absent, and the salad dressing was unexpectedly runny. The Meat Lasagna was especially disappointing. It lacked the promised meatiness, requiring us to order an additional side of meatballs. The red sauce was overly salty, and the lasagna itself consisted of little more than layers of sauce and cheese, with an unfortunate crunch to the pasta. It’s difficult to understand how such a classic dish could be executed so poorly. With so many better options available, I would not recommend this establishment.

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in the area! We visit very often and are always greeted by the staff. Service is fantastic and everyone is very welcoming. We've tried numerous dishes, always extremely satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. Their garlic rolls are delicious as well as their chicken parmesan, penne ala vodka, Alfredo sauce, chicken piccata, wings, soups and subs too (their Bronx Bomber is the best!). Overall, this is hands down one of the best spots to visit for great food, service, large portions and excellent pricing.

So we ordered this restaurant from Door dash. My wife ordered the fried Calamari ($16) and it was beyond overcooked. Very rubbery. Door dash only offered a $5 credit so she called the restaurant. She asked for a shrimp pasta instead and the manager kept saying shrimp is expensive. We agreed to a $10 upcharge and I picked up the food. He did offer a dessert which, I politely declined. He gave us extra garlic bread which I thought was a kind upgrade at the time. However upon going through her pasta, she found a grand total of 4 shrimp in it. There was plenty of pasta, but only 4 shrimp after paying an extra $10 - bringing her meal total to $26 and it felt like an insult.

I will openly say my wife was animated when she called about the Calamari, but not rude. She didn't curse, belittle, or make threats.

I had a great sandwich. Overall we thought everything was fine until she found the 4 shrimp for the upcharge.

The manager was nice when I was there and I was polite and told him how much I was enjoying my sandwich. It almost feels like maybe a cook was taking out their annoyance on my wife's meal.

The pasta was bland. I'd encourage the management to have a chat with their staff about putting out a quality product and then checking behind them to make sure the quality is there. I really wanted to rate more than 2 stars, but honestly I think that's generous.

The Manager was very polite. Might be time to find...
