Why 5 stars? Its so darn hard to run a business let alone a restaurant this size in today's day and age. It was our first visit and for what they do here it's 5 out of 5. Now I read all the reviews good and bad and what I believe is even if you aim to please everyone, you cant. From my experience I would say their intentions are to please. While our visit was not perfect, it was a darn great one and a good value. I grew up working at a Jewish Deli restaurant so I have some insight into the business. While this is a Greek diner, they do jewish and Italian classics well. Menu is extensive but not like the multi page books you would find at a Jersey diner. The classics are covered. Customers are a steady stream of boomers, average 70, and your fair share of walkers. Waitress not too far behind but enthusiastic and clearly caring experienced in nicely dealing with the bs and issues that come with an aging crowed. And because they seem happy, you know they are a reflection of management. I didn't meet the owner but you can summite he knows his business and cares for his customers and staff. Atmosphere is what you would expect once you see the place. Things seemed clean, but plastic menu holders in tables could use some attention. Unfortunately I forgot to check the bathrooms. I loved that they had the prices for the beverages on the menus. I love that menus were menus and none of the BS computer crap and paying at the table. As you would expect your pay when you're finished at the counter like a true diner. We didn't see any signs or rules. Everything was straightforward and they were accommodating. Our waitress was as experienced as they get. While she wasn't great at making suggestions, she was really helpful and making sure we took advantage of any specials that they had. Food was exceptional. I even for what I didn't like which was only one thing, it was all great. Sure I could pick things out and say I didn't like this or I didn't like that but considering the amount of food, what they were serving was right on par and pretty exceptional. Now the soups I confirmed were homemade and exactly as I suspected after tasting them. The split pea suit was one of my favorite. Nice and rich and thick and flavorful and not too salty. The matzo ball suit came with an overly fluffy ball and a bowl filled with noodles and chicken and vegetables. A bit salty for my taste but I still really good. It reminds me when I used to make matzo balls and learn to make them fluffy in my uncle's restaurant. Very similar. My family does rock hard matzo balls so as you can expect they weren't perfect for me but enjoyable. I think that we were full after the soup. Then we tried four different entrees. I had the fish and chips. The taste was wonderful. I think the fish was a little bit wet. The breading was not crunchy but I would say very good. Good size portion of fish I think I got three or four strips. I don't know what kind of fish it was. I imagine it was fresh fish. Now the most exceptional thing was the french fries. I would give them 10 out of 10 on the french fries. Everyone loved them. My daughter got the lasagna which was out of character for her. The portion was insanely large especially for a little girl and she had a valid attempt but took most of it home. The sauce was sweet and flavorful and chunky. It tasted homemade. The meat was homemade meat not just ground beef but I think that they made something special with the meat. Flavorings and spices were exceptional. The achie's over the top was nicely browned and perfect. It brought back great memories. My crazy son ended up with the grilled cheese and bacon which he inhaled and said he loved it as well as the fries. My mom got the quesadilla with chicken period now it look beautiful. Her complaint was too much chicken and not enough onions and vegetables and cheese. Okay, I think that's a personal preference. Maybe when ordering you could and make a request to have it done the way you like it. Oh and the coleslaw was not classic. Maybe it was a Greek coleslaw. Ran out of spac

Not my first visit — but second not-so-great experience out of three trips, so just wanted to give other diners the heads up: if you are single and younger than middle age, you will likely get second-rate service. I am an overly polite customer, firmly believing in the cardinal rule, and having worked in the service industry for a few years after school I’m also an excellent tipper. I ordered my bacon and additional side of bacon extra crispy but it came out see through and floppy, to the point where it couldn’t even pass for being cooked let alone crispy (it took a while which I don’t mind at all, especially if the food is good and prepared as ordered). I wasn’t checked on again during my meal and even sat reading for more than 5 minutes afterward before I was checked on. Was asked if I needed a container for the bacon — I said no that’s ok, they really undercooked it. My server says “well I can put it back on the grill” I say “no no, it’s ok I’m already done” and before I can ask her to remove just the extra side order of bacon she interjects with “well you paid for it so at least let me have them put it on the grill.” I say ok, just put it in the box for me. Not even three mins later she comes back with the styrofoam box — which I can feel almost melting where the bacon is touching it. I pay my check and even tip just under 50% (with 40 being my minimum). Photos of melted styrofoam added (bacon went from dramatically undercooked to sarcastically over cooked, which is why I don’t send food back if I’m not sure the wait staff and kitchen have good communication). I don’t expect to get the most attention when dining alone, but I do tip well, am always polite, and only expect my food to be prepped as ordered. Again, service seems to be stellar for older customers, so this could easily be the place for you depending on your age bracket. I will have to keep looking for a regular breakfast spot though.

I've lived in Boynton Beach for 6 years, and this is the first time I've eaten here. At 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday, it was jamming and I see why. The service was great and so was the food. When I asked about the corned beef sandwich, the server sais, "we are not a deli." Enough said for me. I asked about the Gyro and she gave a thumbs up. It was great, the french fries were just cooked, nice and crispy, hot. My friend had the Ruben and took half of it home. Will definitely be going back.

Went to this so called diner for dinner with my husband and his friend cause his friend recommended it boy did we give him an ear full on the way home. I usually never write reviews after one visit to a place but it was such an all around bad experience i felt I had to warn other people. First off the service was terrible I believe the server just hated her job no smile didn’t introduce her self couldn’t even recommend anything so I have no idea what her name was but I can say she was a heavy set older woman that was just miserable. So great way to start. Asked for some water it was like i asked for the world. Anyway i had stuffed cabbage which literally looked and tasted like slop and thats saying a lot because I was in the army. It was cold in the middle and just tasted like it was old. When i complained the waitress literally said I knew you wouldn’t like. Gee thanks for that I said. She asked me if I wanted something different but she never came and asked how everything was after she literally threw the food down and didn’t see her again so by the time i told her everyone was done eating and I said dont worry about it. I saw the look on my husbands face and i knew he had issue too but didnt say anything because of his friend being with us but when we dropped his friend off he told me he his pork chop was cooked to death and just forced himself to eat it. Of course i yelled at him for not telling me sooner. When we went to pay the short lady didn’t even ask how everything was and didn’t seem to care as she seemed miserable too. I guess the waitress didn’t say anything to the kitchen or the lady at register we assumed was the manager. I mean what terrible service all around i couldn’t believe it. Just the mere fact The waitress, the short register lady or anyone for that matter asked us about our concerns which is just plain sad to be honest. Of course when we got home I wasn’t feeling good in that my stomach was in knots and I know it was from the terrible food and probably the stale bread they served us probably both. Do yourself a favor and never go to Palm Dinner its just not worth the risk as not one thing was good. Ive never had such an overall bad experience at any restaurant if u would call this place that. No wonder why the place wasn’t busy I had a bad feeling soon as we walked in. I dont care how cheap a place is id rather pay more to have good service and good food. I feel like I get better service at burger king and definitely better food. What a shame my husband eventually told his friend he felt so bad he said we can go back for breakfast that its better than dinner there. Well my husband and I had a great laugh about that one. Once again stay away from this place at...

A few weeks ago we went to palm dine with a party of 6 and the place wasn’t that busy (thankfully) so lets start with the service, our waitress was very nice but she spoke so softly it was hard to hear her especially over the other few customers and two female waitstaff arguing so loudly in the back that we looked at each other and said here we go. At that point we were only there for 5 minutes . We heard other arguing a little while later in the back which sounded like the cook yelling at one of the waitresses we could see everything because of where our table was. We couldn’t remember our waitress name as she was so soft spoken none of us caught it. She was also just so slow it was like a two hour plus meal. We were supposed to catch a movie at 7 but we all laughed and said thats not happening even though we sat a little before 5. Now to the food. 2 of the meals were stuffed fish dishes and both were cold in the middle. I had kabobs and the chicken was so dry it was barely edible. A friend of mine got the spinach pie it was so burnt looking and dried out like they cooked it to death then heated ip in microwave i wouldn’t even try a bite thats how bad it looked. Needles to say the we didn’t want to waste anymore time having them make us new meals as it was pretty busy by this time and we wanted to get out of there asap after being there for two hours already, they sure weren’t getting a third hour out of us. I guess we were thinking that we were going to a real diner like new york but this was far from it. They gave us stale slices of bread not even heated while we waited for our first course. Then we had to wait forever to pay cause the lady at the checkout counter was off in the back doing whatever so we had ti wait to pay on too of everything else. The value was decent but all of us would rather pay more for good food than to save money for this slop. Bad food, bad service and unprofessional staff is enough to stay far away from this place. They dont even deserve another chance, one and done. I have never written a review as im not tech savvy but i over heard people at my clubhouse talking about going to the palm diner cause its so close and after telling them my story and not to go there, they all suggested i write a review i pretty much felt obligated to write...
