Panaderia 20 De Julio — Restaurant in Goulds

Pretty terrible service. Got there at 430pm and they told us we had to sit outside because they were closing, even though the sign on the door says they close at 6pm. Even at around 510pm a customer tried to enter and it was locked and the young blonde employee just kept mopping the floor even after making eye contact with the customer and then looking away. A simple “sorry were closed” could have sufficed. The young employee with blonde hair was not attentive at all. She took our order like if she didn’t want to work. Not a smile nothing. She even missed some of our orders and I had to remind her. When she brought our food she forgot utensils and when I asked her nicely if she can bring some she just walked away. She did come back with them but she had a smirk on her face like she was annoyed. At no point didn’t complain or give any bad attitude since that’s not like me but she just didn’t treat us well. Aside from that I ordered the bandeja paisa which I knew wouldn’t be very legit like typical bandeja paise but this was terrible. I can’t recommend this place for the food plates but their bakery section...

This place has fallen short of what it use to be in service and food quality. I have been a customer for 23 years. I used to come almost every day. Things started changing still came once a week. But lately I come twice or three time a year! Today was again proof of what has happen before. You come and they tell you they are closed. I called at 3pm for a caldo and the lady told me they had it. I get there at 4:30, they are mopping and the door Is blocked with a caution sign. The same lady does not let me move and tell me there is no caldo because they closed kitchen at 3! Mind you that the door says they close at 5. Last time this happened, they were closing later but the same thing, telling me that all they could sell was what was left because the kitchen was closed or another time, two hours before closing they were not Making coffees because they had cleaned the machine!Not only their food has changed totally for the worst. Only love that caldo still. But the great amazing service does not...

It was very busy. We were able to get 2 tables inside after other guests left. An employee picked up the plates but didn't clean the table. I asked another employee to clean the table after another customer went to ask her for paper towels to clean his table outside. She was smiling and accommodating with him, going outside to clean his table but impatient with me saying "deme un momento" with resting b!tch face. Same red head took my husband's order with an attitude didn't look him in the eyes and kept saying "is that it, what else". The empanadas and arepa de chocolo were dry, tasted bad and were cold, the chorizo was cold. My #2 breakfast was the only thing that was good. And Laura was the only employee that was kind, warm and friendly. Give her a raise and fire the red head! The food industry is about service to the customer and this place is seriously lacking in friendly...
