I frequent here, let's start by saying that. This is a great food joint if you love chicken, most notably because that is the basis of which this restaurant functions is chicken. As a medical student, this place tends to run within my budget for a lunch that I can enjoy either fast or relaxed in a casual dining atmosphere, as most restaurants are trying to lean towards these days. I usually get the fruit harvest salad with grilled chicken, and the zuchinni fries, which are OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend those with the sweet sriracha sauce. Zuchinni fries are little pricey if I'm being honest, 3.99, plus a salad brings you to 11 dollars and that's without a drink... thankfully water cups are free so it saves me money there. So if you bring a family you won't break the bank, but the receipt after paying for you, your significant other and a child or two will bring you over 30 dollars I guarantee it. So it may not be the cheapest place to eat out at if you're short on cash during the week. But then again, it's still cheaper than going to Outback or a big dining chain. The lines can be long between the times of 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm but outside of that the lines pass by quickly. This is a popular space for sports teams after games, and families with children of all ages. I have heard the millkshakes are dynamite but haven't tried one myself. The fries remind me of McDonalds fries, thin cut, crunchy, and great flavor. There is certainly something for everyone here, sandwiches, rice bowls, salads, and everything is centered around chicken. So if you're the white meat type, and you want a casual dining while watching ESPN, or the fast environment via drive through or take out, this place is...
Read moreEmployee at the window (young African American Female with small dreads in two ponytails) is EXTREMELY rude. I arrived at the pickup window and said “hello” she ignored. She then proceeded to hand me my drink in which the cup had some type debris or dirt on the outside of the cup, I asked if she could get me another drink because the cup she was trying to hand to me has some type of dirt on the outside of the cup she then proceeded to say “it’s probably the soda”, rolled her eyes and walked away from the window. I would’ve clearly kept the cup of it was overflow of soda on the outside but that was not the case. The cup was dirty. She then handed me another drink and rolled her eyes again before saying pull to the front we’ll bring your food out. Clearly if you weren’t hospitable at the food pickup window I wouldn’t trust “you” especially to bring my food out to me. I parked and walked inside and when she saw me she continued to roll her eyes and mumble words to her fellow coworker. I waited and asked the on-site manager to ensure that she doesn’t hand me my food due to the rude and unprofessional encounter I’ve just experienced with her. He did apologize and mentioned that he would speak with her.
All in all. Professionalism, hospitality and simple customer service is the complete standard for working in food service. Her actions weren’t called for and were very disheartening. I didn’t even want the food after this experience. I recommend customer service training or employee development at the...
Read moreI haven't visited PDQ since they first opened in South Tampa. Although their food was good and service was even better, I did not enjoy the almost chaotic atmosphere and just never went back. Last week, I was in Brandon and my friend wanted a late lunch and suggested PDQ on Hwy 60. I obliged and I'm glad I did. We went through their drive-through, which in itself is so different from other drive-throughs. I loved ordering in person, instead of yelling at a flat screen! The cashier was helpful and it was so much more nice to ask questions to an actual person who made each question seem welcome, rather than an inconvenience. She even offered information about things I would not have otherwise known to ask about. The price was much cheaper than I expected and our wait was short. The food was absolutely fresh and hot and delicious! I barely recognized the sauce I had ordered and it has become my new favorite. I am so glad I visited this gem of a restaurant again and plan to start frequenting my local South Tampa PDQ...
