PDQ Miami: Flagler Street — Restaurant in Florida

Rodent...I've been here multiple times. Each time the food has tasted good, the staff has been friendly and the restaurant clean; that is until yesterday, 12/10/2017. So my husband and I had lunch here and right before noon, we saw the manager, chef and 2 other employees chase a small rat out the front door of the restaurant; not a mouse, but a rat. I can sort of understand that things like this sometimes happen, albeit unfortunate for anyone who has to witness it. Please note, the biggest reason I have for rating my experience with 1 star, is because not one employee, not the manager or the chef or anyone else there came over to our table and acknowledged what had just happened. They all ignored us, the situation, and everything in general. This was all really strange because my husband had a conversation with the manager right after we had paid. The mgr was explaining their new menu was going into effect this Tuesday, 12/12 and that unfortunately, my husband's favorite menu item, the turkey sandwich, would no longer be offered. Additionally, we were the only customers in the restaurant. No one else.... As I sat there filling out the online survey in the booth, my husband heard the cashier tell the manager, I think they are going to complain. Still, nothing. No common courtesy, "hey, so sorry you had to see that". Nothing..... My husband and I have both worked in the food industry and this is just unheard of. There was no damage control to mitigate our obvious disbelief. I won't be going back to this PDQ anytime soon. I certainly won't blacklist the whole chain because of one incident. But, what???? Really???? Not a word???? That's just so...

⚠️‼️A warning to those drinking out of the lemonade/soda/iced tea machines:‼️⚠️

My boyfriend and I went yesterday and got a nugget meal as well as an iced tea and a lemonade. The food was fine but the second we took a sip out of our drinks we felt our stomachs drop… we went home and the severe stomach pains took a turn for the worst.

It turns out we had gotten food/drink poisoning and we have been puking and having feverish symptoms for over 24 hours. Our stomachs were as hard as rocks and I we could barely move. And I know it was the drinks because we hadnt eaten anything else but a home cooked meal earlier that day, and felt fine up until we ate here. We were so sick after that we didn’t eat anything else after that. He has a stronger immune system than me, and has an iron stomach and even HE was displaying all signs of food/drink poisoning.

Now I don’t know if they are not cleaning their soda dispenser machines well enough or what is wrong with their drinks because there is no other reasonable explanation for what happened. I hope this reaches someone in management so that someone can inspect those machines because this is truly disgusting.

Also a note to mention is that all the tables were sticky and nothing felt clean… I try to sympathize with service workers because I am one myself but this is just too far and I hope my warning and advice serves some use to other customers and the management who...

I'd gone to PDQ when it opened, about 4 years ago, and was delicious. My daughter and I went at least once a week for their shakes. We were frequent, but our last two experiences have been pathetic. Last week, i ordered a rice bowl and the rice looked like when they scrape the leftovers off the pan. Got a another, and it was better. Our friend, who got there after, also ordered one and it came small and poor. Today, we went again, hoping for a better experience, but not satisfied. We ordered a apple pie shake (which we'd tried before, it was seasonal maybe two years ago) and they charged us 60 cents plus 2.60 for being seasonal ON SHAKE BREAK HALF OFF. We told them we hadnt known that and she removed and took the shake. Then she asked behind her in the open kitchen if the staff wanted it, and they were like "ok well i could have it". My daughter was disappionted because they wasted the supplies and drank it themselves. How could they drink it knowing they had taken an innocent girl's drink. We both clearly remember once we got the wrong shake and the manager gave us another one and let us keep the first. Our zuchinni fries were way too greasy and left me feeling like i wanted to vomit.
