I am a frequent PDQ visitor because my grandson - who I spoil horribly - loves the food, people and atmosphere. I’ve become a big fan because of the employees and true overall commitment to quality. My grandson celebrated his 5th birthday Thursday 6/1 & when he told me he wanted PDQ’s for lunch - Well, of course, I couldn’t say no. The minute we walked in, Melissa greeted us with a big smile and heartfelt welcome!! She remembered my name and engaged my grandson in conversation asking about him & his little sister!! He can be a shy little guy because he’s struggled with speech, but it’s obvious that he always feels welcome and comfortable to speak freely here. We quickly received our order & set at a table where Mr. Mike came by and wished my grand baby a happy 5th bday - again engaging him in conversation - cutest thing ever!! I look forward to seeing Mr. Mike when I visit. He’s always so pleasant & welcoming. Mike reminded me that the zucchini fries were returning - literally my favorite thing on the PDQ menu to eat on my drive home!! Next thing I know, the manager John greets us, wishes my grandson Happy Birthday & gives him a couple of cookies. He shares with me my beloved zucchini fries would be returning soon, but he’d love to preview them for me. Sure - I’m game. Next thing I know, I have some fresh zucchini fries. I love this place! These are truly people who are dedicated to providing a quality product & phenomenal experience for their customers. Love it. ...
Read moreI have been placing orders at this place many times. Things have been pleasant and I love the Wings and chicken tenders there. But tonight the girl at the last window just irks me. After coming to the pickup widow to pickup our food, she ask what sauce we want then asked us to drive up to the curve and wait. There wasn't even a lot of people. We waited for 5-10 mins. Keep in mind we were already waiting 30+ mins from being in line, place order till now. When there is no more car at the window, we reverse back to the window and asked for our food as well as asking if driving up to that spot is the right place? Sure rudely said through the curbside. She looks like she doesn't want to be there at work. We continued to wait for another minute and I told my husband to go inside. He went in and saw our order just sitting there. The girl completely ignored him. My husband asked if that was our order. The guy that originally took our order recognize my husband and said yes I remember you and that is your order. Why didn't she give us our order when we came back to ask her about the right place to wait for them to bring the food out? The food was obviously ready. If my husband didn't come in to get it, how lo g would it take them to being it out? Or may forget? He apologized and gave us 2 coupons (later found out it was alrrady expired since Oct. 2020.) If there is a power struggle at work.. then deal with it in the back room. Don't take it out on...
Read moreAmazing fried chicken. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with an online order. During the pandemic, due to high-risk health issue in my family, I have been avoiding opportunities with exposure. Most businesses have made it as easy as possible to avoid COVID-19, but not PDQ. I ordered my food online and went through the drive-thru to pick it up (like I do with every fast food place). Unfortunately, I had to wait in a very long drive-thru for 15 mins. Once I got to the window and told them I was here for an online order, the young lady said, "You are supposed to come inside for online orders". I responded that I wasn't comfortable coming inside during a pandemic... Let me qualify that, PDQ was FULL of around 50 non-masked patrons, which I had the opportunity to witness as I waiting in the drive-thru line for 15 mins. ...She begrudgingly went to get my food and made sure to complain to someone along the way, which I unfortunately witnessed. Unless they make some process changes for COVID-19, I won't be back. It's unfortunate, because they have amazing...
