Did a pickup. Server handled the broom, cash, and her backside pocket for her phone several times over and over without washing her hands. Then opened and handled boxes of food with dirty hands. I told the manager, who asked her to wash her hands. She went to the sink and loudly proclaimed there was no soap to wash her hands. Then handled my food and gave me cold service for complaining. I should complain to the health inspector if anything.
The owners replied to this review saying they care about cleanliness. Clearly that isn’t true. Your handwashing sink in the serving area doesn’t even have soap? How long of each day are you guys working the entire shift without washing your hands with soap if that is the case? How you operating a clean and hygienic restaurant if you don’t even have soap at the hand washing station? Y’all don’t care about health code and everything that happened there shows it. You don’t train it to your employees, your owners and mangers don’t look out for it, and cleanliness means nothing to you if this is how you run a nasty dirty operation where you handle food without gloves or washing your hands. That’s straight up nasty and I hope corporate sees this review and sends in someone to train you on health code and basic things like washing your hands between tasks and having soap and hot water at all handwashing stations in the food serving area. Read moreI took my service dog there this past Saturday and there where 2 people siting with their dogs on the porch. They were on leashes but the owners had no control over them. The dogs ran up to my dog and it freaked me out. I am also 28 weeks pregnant and don't need 2 big dogs jumping on me. U have a service dog that is trained to alert me to my medical issues. Its against the law to interfere with a service dog. I went into the store to talk to the manger. I asked a young lad,y where the manger was and told her what happen, this young lady was very rude and had a attitude, she said that the store was not responsible for what happen when i said in a way yes you are bc this happen on your property. She WAS LIKE IF u want to talk to the manger here he is, i told the manger what happen, he went out to talk to the couple, came back said he talked to them and left me alone.He did not apologizes at all for what happen, the lady then took my order but was giving me a hard time since i was asking what was made out of corn since i am allergic to gluten. she was rushing me and told me my meal came with a drink but then charged me for the drink when my meal should have been 7 dollars with tax, i waited 15min for my food, it was cold and the corn wrap was stale.i will never eat there again and already will be calling corporate. they would not allow me to talk to the general manger,had a bad...
Read moreMay 5th was the worst experience I have ever had at a Tijuana Flats. I ordered online for curbside pick-up at 7:36 PM. I was told my order would be ready at 8:28 PM. The message I received gave me a number to call when I arrived. When my husband arrived to pick it up, nobody answered the phone or replied to his text, so I had to find the local restaurant number for him to call. When he finally got through to someone, they said that the order wasn’t quite ready. He called several times between 8:30 and 8:50. Every time they told him that it wasn’t quite ready. At 8:50, they said it would be done at 9, because that’s when they closed. At 9:15, he still hadn’t heard from them. When he called AGAIN to see what was going on, they told him, “Sorry, we’re closed!” At any point during any of his previous calls, they could have told him that they didn’t have time to make our order and offer him a refund, but they made him wait there for almost an hour before telling him that they didn’t have his food. Then, miraculously, they found our food ... and what we received was food that had been cooked and sitting there for, probably, 30 minutes. It was cold, soggy, and some of it was missing! There were drinks and food missing from our order. It was a ridiculous experience! I should get a refund for our lousy meal and even more lousy customer service. Just an awful...
