Went to this establishment tonight and had the worst experience. We waited at the door to be seated. No hostess around. Then once sat we ordered. My aunt, mom, myself, and my one year old son and my aunts one year old grandson. Our salads are brought out and my aunt asks for more blue cheese. Server never comes back with it and doesn’t return until she brings out our food. Our food is brought out but only the adults food not the childrens food. The food brought out was cold. I told her the food was not hot. She did not apologize and said lowly under her breath “they just gave this to me”. She takes our plates and walks away. Then about ten minutes later she brings the kids food steaming hot. So hot they would get burned if they eat it. Then after this she quickly walks off without even giving me a chance to speak to her. At this time I don’t want the 16$ chicken piccata. Hello, people you pay for an experience. So I raise my voice and yell hey to try and get her attention before she walks off and she ignores me. I then go and tell the manager what is going on. The girl comes out of the kitchen during this time with our supposedly recooked chicken piccata. I tell the manager I do not want it. Then the manager comes over and apologize tries to get me to eat it and claims the dish was completely remade. This is a complete lie because the one cut I made in the chicken before sending it back is still there. We could hear the microwave and she wasn’t even in the kitchen when the food was brought back. They microwaved our food and brought it back out. The health department needs to check this place out. On top of all this my mother is a deli clerk, works hard all week long this is the one meal we share together...she carries a meat thermometer with her and the food was temping at 110 degrees. So disappointed. Never have I had such a horrible experience. The manager says she will comp my chicken piccata and I keep telling her I don’t want it. She doesn’t listen and boxes it up and sets it in front of me. My mom and aunt are eating their microwaved food. Their food is not comped. Then they finish eating and we sit there for another 15 minutes and a different server working a different section comes up and asks us if we are okay. We tell him we need the box and check. He gets it for us promptly and apologizes and tells us he could offer us better service if her was our server. Then our server comes out FINALLY and she asks us if we want any to go cups after everything. Like where were you 20 minutes ago when we finished our food. So to summarize this story we still spent 50$ on food that wasn’t even hot. This place use to be such a great restaurant. I have worked as a server for 5 years. Never have I ever treated anyone this way. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could leave 0...
Read moreI really hate giving 1 star reviews but this was truly a poor experience. We came in a group of 4 on a Friday night almost two weeks ago because my grandmother wanted Italian. The service was pleasant at first but extremely slow. Once our server dropped off the food, it was almost an hour before she appeared again. And she only appeared because I had to ask a passing server for boxes, the check, and for our server. Our server delivered the check but still didn’t have boxes. She then apologizes for “being short staffed”, but that doesn’t excuse such a wait time without drink refills or being checked on. The food for my whole group was all bland, cold, and very dry. The real kicker for me was when I heated up my food the next day, I found pieces of parchment paper in my eggplant. Needless to say it all went in the trash. I watched as many other tables were also displeased with poor service and long wait times. I witnessed two tables wait over 30 minutes after being seated to even be greeted by a server, let...
Read moreYou will not be disappointed with Petrillos!!! We eat at a lot of different places during our travels. And most of the time we leave satisfied and full because we are just not a picky couple when it comes to most restaurant food. With one exception, Italian cuisine. We are extremely critical of the restaurants where we eat Italian foods. Because, let's face it, anybody can open a jar of Prego and dump it on egg noodles, with a sprinkle of canned cheese, and call it Italian. Thankfully this is not the case at Petrillos. We had lasagna and antipasto salad our first visit and knew immediately that we would return. We live two hours away in a rural area and trust me it is worth the drive! Our next visit we had the spaghetti. Probably the one single food we are most critical of when dining out. Let me tell you that I have never enjoyed a spaghetti and sauce more than this. Staff were attentive and friendly in their suggestions and the dinner rolls are absolutely perfect....
