I recently dined at Long Doggers in Melbourne, FL, and I can’t stop raving about the experience! My wife and I were blown away by the fresh, vibrant flavors and the laid-back, local vibe that makes this place a true gem on the Space Coast. I ordered the Mahi Mango Salsa Bowl, and it was an absolute delight. The wild-caught mahi was grilled to perfection, flaking beautifully over a bed of seasoned black beans and jasmine rice. The Caribbean mango salsa added a sweet and tangy kick, perfectly balanced by the Costa Rican Lizano sauce and the side of fried sweet plantains. Every bite was a burst of coastal freshness, and you could tell the ingredients were top-notch and locally inspired. My wife went for the blackened cobia fish, and it was equally incredible. The seasoning was spot-on—bold and spicy without overpowering the fish’s natural flavor. The cobia was cooked just right, tender and juicy, with that smoky char that made every bite unforgettable. She couldn’t stop talking about how fresh it tasted, like it was caught that morning! The atmosphere at Long Doggers is what really sealed the deal. The surf shop decor and relaxed beachy vibe made us feel like we were on a mini-vacation. Whether you’re dining inside or out on the covered deck, the local charm shines through, and the staff’s friendly, welcoming energy only adds to it. It’s the kind of place where you can feel the community spirit, and it’s clear why locals and visitors alike keep coming back. From the fresh, high-quality ingredients to the radically relaxed vibe, Long Doggers in Melbourne is a must-visit. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to try more of their amazing menu! Highly recommend the Mahi Mango Salsa Bowl and anything with their blackened seasoning—you won’t be...

Disappointing Service Despite Great Food

I recently visited your establishment on November 17 while in town for work, using a coupon/voucher I received on Veterans Day. Upon arrival, I was greeted by your staff and invited to sit anywhere since the restaurant was nearly empty. I preferred a booth, but the only available one had just been vacated and still needed cleaning. I decided to sit at that booth and settled in at the table to wait.

Shortly after, OLIVIA arrived, noticed the table's condition, and left to grab cleaning supplies. When she returned, she began spraying the table and INTENTIONALLY SPRAYED ME as well. I politely mentioned this to her, but her response was shocking and unprofessional: "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE SAT AT A DIRTY TABLE."

Despite this unpleasant encounter, I decided to give the restaurant a fair chance. The food was excellent, and the rest of the staff were polite and professional. However, Olivia's rudeness and lack of customer service skills left a negative impression.

While I enjoyed the meal, this encounter has tarnished my opinion of the restaurant. I'll be sharing my experience with colleagues staying nearby who are also exploring dining options. First impressions matter, and I hope this feedback encourages management to address training and professionalism...

My husband and I visited Melbourne, Florida this past weekend and opted to try out Long Doggers. We were blown away by the flavor of EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE!!! Most restaurants do one part fairly well and then the rest is okay filler. But every part of each meal had unique flavor and complimented one another.

Our waitress, Bridgette was fabulous! She was funny and she made some excellent suggestions! I am sorry to report I didn't think to get a photo of our appetizer or dessert. The app was pretzel bites with cheese. But dude, it was so much more! The cheese was creamer, richer than expected and the pretzel bites were the perfect blend of crisp and soft! The dessert was a slice of Key Lime pie with whipped cream. It tasted very fresh! Not overly lime favored and the whipped cream blended so well! Make sure you have some whipped cream with every bite, worth it!!

This shrimp was on point!! Sooo good! The soba noodles were a very pleasant surprise and busting with flavor!

My husband tried the beef skewers and they were divine!! I totally snuck a bite! The beef had so much flavor. Not dry or fatty. Such a refreshing experience!

I would give it a 10, if I could! We ended up going back again the next day for lunch before flying home. It was just that GOOD! Try it, you...

This was my first time to Long Dogger's. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It reminded me of a place I used to hang out at in the Keys when I was younger. The menu had an array of options from fresh from the sea faves to some yummy sounding burgers and options for vegans and kids. It did take a bit to get my order in, but the staff did seem to enjoy their jobs, something that's hard to find some days. I guarantee you'll be met with a smile. I thoroughly enjoyed my Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl(pictured below) along with room saved for their in-house made Key Lime Pie.(also below) you cannot go wrong there! That was some of the best pie ever! And I have Key Lime Pie every chance I can. The only complaint I had on the bowl, and I did make a suggestion at the time, the dish was all fresh with Ahi Tuna, grilled pineapple, plaintains... and then there was a scoop of what looked like cooked frozen veges on the plate. Those were not needed OR make it fresh broccoli. Great experience, good meal. I will go back!
