My good friend John "Mr. Pizza" Morris told me that this place is the best in town for pizza and that I had to go there (and invite him) and put it in the mix for the review.
They do pizza by the slice (I love sampling a variety of pies) and thus I got a pepperoni pizza and then three additional slices to try. Well..... I say slices, but that would be understating what I experienced.
I got the special, (same combo as before) which was very good, and against my better judgment the white pizza (I don't like white pizza but thought I would try this one). Surprise, surprise, I didn't care for it and am officially retiring myself from the white pizza league. It's been real, but I am over it.
Following the white pizza catastrophe, I sought to raise my spirits with the "Stuffed Slice".
Imagine a pie, but it's pizza. Bottom crust (like any pizza) then an inch or two of mozzarella, ricotta and other goodness and a TOP CRUST and that's what you have. You know what? Just check the picture, I can't explain it and do it any sort of justice.
The pizza is very good; it's in the top five on it's own. The "Stuffed Slice"; it's over the top. It's fantastic. I am a convert. I will never go here again without getting it. It is a must. My only criticism, (God, I'm really splitting hairs here) is that they only do one type of "stuffed slice", as best I can tell. I have to defer to my man Fred Zand who said it would be great to have some other types, a cheesesteak or something and some other samplings. This pizza is really something that you have to try. I love it, and you won't convince me that it doesn't have magical properties. If you're on a diet, break it. You have to have this pizza; you too will...
Read moreGreat pizza and service. This place was recommended to me by a customer and clerk at Walgreen's. We had dined in here before but wasn't overly impressed at the time. However, large enough portions that we had to take home more than half of our meal. That was our 2nd visit to this location so when was recommended I was hesitant. But we were in a hurry and looking for close by pizza so decided to give it another chance. We were so glad we did. We had the house special pizza and it was delicious! So good that we have ordered it 2 other times since and will continue to do so. It's the best "all the way" pizza we've found since moving to the area. Haley has been working the counter and phones both other times I've ordered and I'm sure due to caller ID she new who I was and new my exact order right down to light peppers on our pizza. I have tipped her well all 3 times and she even checked into delivery for our area, which didn't show service in our area. However they said since we're so close they would make accommodations to deliver to us taking special notes about our electric gate, dog etc.. I highly recommend PJs to anyone looking for an amazing pizza and service locally...
Read moreLet me start this off by saying…those that have rated this place one star or had complaints are expecting WAYYY too much for a pizza establishment. It’s not fine dining so why are people so picky?!
Well anyways here’s my experience: My husband and I Walked in today around 2pm, and was immediately greeted by the nice lady at the front counter and told we could go sit down and look at a menu instead of standing up and looking at the overhead menu (I’m 8 months pregnant and needed to sit down as soon as I walked in the door and she immediately noticed that!)..We sat down and picked out what we wanted to eat and paid for it and patiently waited for our food while we were handed our drinks and paper plates(which for a pizza place this is PERFECT! It felt like I was at a family cookout!) ..Now I was NOT expecting the Antipasto Salad to be this big!!! You really get your bang for your buck here!! We ended up paying $25 for a Philly cheesesteak and our salad and we didn’t even finish it because it was MORE than enough!! Overall we loved our experience here and will come again next time we are in town!! Thanks for making us feel welcome and treating...
