Pollo Tropical — Restaurant in Florida

I’ve been going to this particular restaurant since Albertsons grocery store was around, so over 12 years. Today, I ordered crispy chicken TropiChop, no beans, side of corn and two sides of sweet plantains. I also ordered white rice and beans to eat later.

I realized that the cup of corn was 10% full so I went in and asked why. The manager was SOOO RUDE, I was shocked. Simple question turned into a back and forth about the corn and how “I ordered” incorrectly. The manager stated her name was TUTI and that they gave me a small corn portion for my TropicChop. I advised her that I ordered PLAIN TropiChop for a reason and the SIDE of corn will be eaten separately. I also advised her that I’ve order this EXACT meal everytime I visit and have not had a problem before! I told her that I was willing to pay extra for the right amount of corn and she then asked me to bring back MY ENTIRE ORDER to “cancel” it out to re-ring up the order to charge me the $2.99 for the corn. I did NOT trust them with my food after that and told her to refund my ENTIRE order. I went back to my car and gave her back the order for a full refund. She was hesitant to do so and was having a side bar conversation in Spanish with another woman who was angry and talking bad about me!

Let’s just say, I will NEVER step foot in this place again! I’ve ordered catering through them, I’m here for lunch and dinner regularly! Never again.

I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and this is NOT how a “manager” should act with customers. Very rude, disrespectful and straight up nasty.. very...

Every single time I come here hoping it will be different and never is....Food is excellent but service no, always have somebody on drive thru that doesn't speak English...just tonight I asked if the 1/4 chicken could be a breast and he kept saying bread? bread? and I got tired of repeating it and tried once more slowly and he repeated fresh, yes its fresh....if your gonna be on drive thru gotta speak and understand english as well as spanish...oh and dont get that on some night I can get extra gravy and some nights no...guess its however they are feeling...getting to the point I'm giving up on this place but food is GOOD, service not so much...and tonight couldn't serve me chicken, CHICKEN what they do here!!!...no one speaks english...I ask front counter if I couod make it a breast and just acts like I didn't ask a question..oh you want rice and beans with that, no I asked you...

Ordered lunch for delivery with the office staff. Asked for a Caesar Salad with chicken. Cost $8.19 plus tax, delivery fee and tip. I received a side Caesar for lunch. Tried called to dispute and no answer. I basically paid over $10 for a side salad. It’s so frustrating that people can’t pay attention to detail. Receipt shows exactly what I wanted. A year ago I left a review for same reason. I actually went to location and placed order in drive thru. Asked for tropichop bowl with chicken rice beans etc…. All I got was the rice and chicken no toppings. I decided a year ago I would never return, lesson learned. Don’t waste your time at this location and definitely don’t pay these crazy high prices for delivery services cause you won’t get what you paid for. Oh and tried called to speak to someone for a refund and no one...
