Service is HORRIBLE at this location! Go to Jupiter instead!
My husband and I love Rancho chicos food and service at any other location. But this one!
Service is always horrible here. We have been here 2 separate times and both times have been horrible.
We we're there today waiter came and took our drink order my husband got a beer I got an ice tea husband gets the beer 15 mins later my waiter still hasn't appeared with my drink not has he taken our order
Finally get the drink we place our food order waiter disappeared yet again 15 mins later shows up with food I asked for a refill he never brought it... I order a Queso dip 15 mins go by no waiter... queso dip is hard as a rock my husband is finish with his food and I can't eat queso and chips and not have any drink so now he has to wait on me... I had to flag down the waiter to ask for a refill for myself and my husband... waiter brings me my drink reheats the dip and forgets my husband's beer....
Flag down another waiter to ask for the drink since our waiter is nowhere to be seen at all. Finally get the drink ( still no waiter)
I eat some of the queso dip my husband sees the waiter and asked for check and another beer... waiter disappeared... waited 10 mins nothing... flagged another waiter (who is also a supervisor this is Raul by the way) asked for the check waited another 10 mins I see this waiter walking all over moving cups and doing everything but bring the check... I get up and ask to speak with a supervisor... I get to talk to Raul he listens doesn't say anything and WALKED AWAY! I told him the customer service at this location is HORRIBLE it has happened 2 times now and it's not acceptable 3 mins later my waiter finally appears and hands me the check.
Paid and left needless to say I will eat ANYWHERE ELSE but at this location ever again! The staff simply does not care! We we're there over an hour and in that time I saw 2 friends leave furious because of the service and a couple walk out because they gave up on waiting and then my husband and I left upset as well.
This place is worthless when it comes to customer service and basic service if the restaurant would had been full I might have been mot understanding but it was nearly empty!
Not acceptable and I will never go to this location again they should feel ashamed a total of 6 people left upset all within an a close to 2 hour service what restaurant takes close to 2 hours...
Read moreMy wife and I have enjoyed Rancho Chico for years but are disappointed with the management. Despite living in Fort Pierce, Rancho Chico is on our short list of favorites, and we would often make the 30-45 minute just to enjoy the chips, queso and fajitas - they are SO good! We recently started fostering which has kept us tremendously busy, but when we found out that our children's weekly family visit was just down the street from Rancho Chico, my wife and got excited because during our children's visit we thought it'd be nice to slip away for a quick date and enjoy the chips and queso. Being the middle of the afternoon on a weekday the restaurant was virtually empty and we enjoyed our "pick me up" and the quiet atmosphere. The queso is $6.50 but there is plenty of it! So much that we always request an extra bowl of chips because there is just too much queso for the one bowl of chips they start you with that comes with the complimentary salsa. We realize that we just order an appetizer, so, at the risk of being tacky, we are sure to always leave a nice tip. For $10, we get to enjoy a quick date with each other each week - which is SO needed in the busy life of foster care! This past week, we stopped in as usual and, as usual, we had the same waiter. He brought us our waters, chips and salsa, then queso as usual (we've been doing this about 6 weeks now) but when we requested more chips, he said the manager made a new rule that the restaurant was now charging for extra chips. We asked how much, thinking maybe a buck or something, but to our shock he said $3.00. An extra $3.00 for chips?!? We politely declined the $3.00 extra bowl of chips, asked for a to-go bowl for our queso, our check and left the same tip as usual - we couldn't be irritated with our waiter, it's not his fault. Anyway, after years of dining at Rancho Chico by ourselves and with friends and family, and recommending this restaurant to countless people, our days at Rancho Chico are over because the manager wasn't willing to throw in a bowl of chips with our queso. Mr./Ms./Mrs. Manager, if you decide that you can spare an extra bowl of chips, let us know and...
Read moreWe have been here multiple times and this is the 1st time our service sucked!!!! My husband and I eat plant based, so we asked for substitutes (beans instead of meat, no sour cream). The server we had today who's name I will not mention(because 2 wrongs don't make a right), was rude about it. He questioned if I was sure that I wanted to change the meat for beans because the price would be the same. We told him that was fine. I asked to remove all dairy and for a side of Guacamole. Again, he looked at me eyes large and questioned my choices. At that point I said to him we eat plant based so we were removing these items. He became very irritated and it showed in his demeanor. When our food came out I asked him about the side of Guacamole that was missing. I also asked if he would charge us the chicken price for the dish opposed to the steak price. He told me he could not because he already put it in as steak Mind you, we were not even near the receiving the check part of dinner yet.... My husband also at that point asked for a side enchilada sauce. He instantly brought that out, but still no Guacamole......he started to walk away so my husband then spoke up and asked about the Guacamole. The waiter got an attitude and was like.....yea, yea the Guacamole is coming. He did finally bring it, but at that point he only directly communicated with my...
