Order 3x extra mushrooms on a double mushroom Swiss which in total cost about 19% of the cost of the whole burger. Upon receiving the burger you could literally not see a mushroom on it without lifting up and taking apart the burger. When I asked for more mushrooms the team member went inside came back out and informed me (I assume at the instruction of the general manager) that there were extra mushrooms on the burger and that they typically only come with 5 pieces of mushrooms on the burger and that I did receive “extra” they were just in the middle of the burger (where they are advertised as being and clearly visible in the advertisement for the burger) and if I lifted up the patty I would be able to see them. I explained that I was still not satisfied with amount of mushrooms on the burger they finally brought out an extra ramekin of mushrooms but again said that I did receive extra mushrooms.
Look I understand that food does not look as the pictures do when you order it but jeeze this is a whole other level. I literally couldn’t see a single mushroom on the thing without taking it apart even when I order and pay for 3x extra. After leaving a review the general manager contacted me and suggested that I order the mushrooms on the side instead of on the burger (I’m not sure why this would get me more mushrooms) and offered a free custard. I don’t want a free custard, I want to actually be able to taste mushrooms when I order a mushroom Swiss burger, I also don’t want to put the burger together myself in order to get the amount or mushrooms I paid for…especially if I pay for 3x extra mushrooms. I unfortunately did not take pictures of my burger because I assumed that it wouldn't escalate to leaving a public review but I’m sure anyone who orders the same thing would have the same experience and I would like to save my fellow mushroom lovers the same headache.
Don’t come here for the mushroom Swiss. It is not even close to as advertised and you basically get no mushrooms, even when you pay for 3x the extra amount you’ll have to apparently order then on the side and put it together yourself to get a reasonable amount...
Read moreThe staff doesn't listen. I'm not familiar with Culvers so when I got there I of course looked at the menu. Immediately a staff member started furiously calling over another employee, to which I said, "it's ok I'm not ready to order." This was ignored and he kept calling her over. When the second person arrived she asked me for my order to which i replied, "I'm not ready yet, like i told him." Again she asked, "what can i get for you?" So for the third time I said, "I'm not ready yet" and she walked off. After about ten seconds a third member came up and asked to take my order. I mean seriously, that's annoying. So i tell him I'm not ready yet and he stood there awkwardly staring at me so i asked him some questions and finally ordered. I asked for the party melt, a small sweet potato fry, a water, and a small turtle Sunday as my indulgence. The order came to about $16 and I was surprised a $3 sandwich with fries water and small sunday would cost so much. For $16 i would go eat GOOD food with table service, not scrappy fast food and paper cups on cafeteria trays. So he gives me my change, but no receipt. So I think maybe when my food comes it will have the receipt. Well it did, it lists out my order but doesn't itemize the costs, rather just has a total at the bottom. That's messed up. But I was able to see the guy that took my order made it a double for $6 not a single for $3 and my sundae says "two" so I'm assuming that means a double aka a large. The patty melt was not great, the burger pattys are tiny, it was so greasy the basket it came in had a pool of grease on the bottom. The sweet potato fries were almost burnt, certainly over cooked, and sundae was made where they drizzle all the chocolate and caramel on the sides of the cup so it looks like a lot of toppings but really isn't and you have to scrape it all off the sides of the cup to get any. Read moreI do not understand how a food establishment gets an entire order wrong not once...not twice..not three times..not four times..but now FIVE TIMES IN A ROW!!! Such great food if they actually got your order right. We order a gluten free bun on a double bacon cheeseburger and a regular bun double bacon cheese burger. They ask us each time do we want everything on it? We reply YES EVERYTHING and re iterate that we want ALL TOPPINGS. Every...single...time we end up missing the bacon and ALL of the toppings, or just the toppings, or no bacon and only some of the toppings, or no lettuce ketchup mustard tomato mayo.. or my favorite one, ONE SINGLE PATTY with a pickle and thats it!!!!!!!!!!!! How?!?!? Such great fresh tasting burgers but EVERY SINGLE TIME there is something missing and its super frustrating to open up your burger and find that you didnt get all of your food! Its a burger..not a special order and were not asking them to make it any specific way. I let it slide once each time thinking maybe they were just having a bad, but FIVE times!!!!!! I just opened my burger and there was everything except tomato, lettuce, and condiments..not even anything in the bag. PLEASE contact management at this location and have them give their employees basic training on how to assemble a burger they make every single day!! The food isn't cheap, and the little bit of fast food that I can enjoy I cant even have the entire thing of because somehow they forget how to make a burger.
