The new owners and staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about ingredients. I am so grateful that they are keeping the entire menu gluten free.
That being said, the new menu is not nearly as good as the original one. I used to eat here regularly before the menu change, and me and my son both had several favorites, including their burgers, pasta, sautéed veggies, fried chicken sandwich, and a few others. The prices were reasonable and the food was decent. Now, however, none of these items are on the menu (basically, almost nothing is the same) and, even though my child is an adventurous eater, he wasn’t able to find anything on the menu that sounded appealing. There were three of us and, sadly, none of us enjoyed our meals. My father and I ordered the pastrami/brisket sandwich and garlic fries, and my son had a breakfast burrito. The flavor of the pastrami/brisket was just…off. I don’t know how to describe the marinade and seasonings other than…bizarre. It was also too vinegary, overall, due to the pastrami marinade, combined with the mustard and pickles. The garlic fries were so very garlicky, they almost weren’t edible. The eggs in the breakfast burrito were overcooked and too firm. Despite still ordering from the counter and not including any drinks, I ended up paying $70 (before tip) when, in the past, the three of us could have eaten at the prior Ripe for much less.
I agree with a prior recent review which read as follows:
“ Their new menu is terrible. Such a shame. The old menu was a billion times better. What in the world is the new owner thinking!? You legit took off all the items that my family loved. Bring back the old menu and you will have tons of more business - this is coming from an old loyal customer that used to order from there 3x to 4x a week. I have spoken with many of my neighbors in the immediate area as well as people I know that used to frequent this place and NO ONE will go back, since the new ownership / menu change. As they always say, "if it' aint broke, don't fix it". Make Ripe...
Read moreRipe Delray is a great option for anyone looking for gluten-free options, they have one of the most impressive and versatile GF menus I’ve seen in South Florida. I recently tried their BBQ Pork Burrito special and I was surprised, I usually describe GF wraps like faux leather, yeah it looks the same but you can tell the difference in texture, GF wraps for example are typically course, not this wrap, totally soft and absorbed the the pork/rice flavor, delicious. The service was great as well, and the location has a nice vibe. Honestly, I wish this place was closer because I’d eat here every day.
Also worth noting I ordered the Mediterranean Bliss and the Teriyaki Bowl through Uber Eats for lunch a few days ago with a friend who has celiac, and both bowls were delicious. I especially appreciated that they don’t skimp on the protein, which is super important to me since I track calories and macros. I’m definitely trying the Pad Thai Bowl next time because everything so far has been incredible. Highly recommend Ripe Delray if you’re gluten-free, or even...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ripe Delray, and I can’t rave about this place enough. From the moment I walked in, the warm greeting and knowledgeable staff made the experience stand out. Although I didn’t catch his name, the staff member on duty was exceptional—effortlessly walking us through the entire menu and explaining all the options. Despite handling everything on his own, he did so flawlessly. I’m still in shock at how impressive he was.
The food was beyond delicious and incredibly affordable. What I initially thought would be an $80 meal turned out to be only $39, which was a delightful surprise. I ordered the Yum Yum burger with a vegan patty, and my partner had the Ripe One, also on a veggie patty, without the turkey bacon. We also tried the sweet potato fries and yucca fries, accompanied by all their sauces—and oh my lord, every bite was heavenly. Everything was not only delicious but also healthy.
If you’re looking for a fantastic meal with great service, I cannot recommend Ripe...
