I went to Sicilian Oven with three people who have been there a few times. We got there at 4:15PM on a rainy Thursday. When we walked in there were only a few tables with people eating. Being a rainy day, you couldn’t eat outside. By 5:15 all but one table was full. There were lots of servers working and our service was excellent. Everything we all had to eat was delicious. The small Sicilian salad was large enough for two people to share (as we did). My mother also got it and raved about it. I had the eggplant parmesan and my wife had a pizza. We both enjoyed our dishes and tried each other’s meals. We went back a few days later to pick up another Sicilian salad to take to my mother. We had a round table with five people at it. My back was to the kitchen and workers were picking up food and dropping off dishes just feet from my seat. The noise level continued to increase as the tables filled up. I had a hard time hearing the person across from me with all the background noise. Watching the bartender I wish we were sitting at the bar having drinks (and maybe eating our meals). She was making lots of good looking drinks and added a little flair to the process. I think if I ate at the bar, I would have given Sicilian Oven five stars. When sitting at a bar the noise level would not have bothered me. Bars are a different environment to eat at. Also sitting outside would have been more enjoyable but the rainy evening didn’t allow that. If you don’t mind the noise level, you will enjoy your meal inside. If you want a little nicer environment, sit at the bar or outside.

When mr. Max, one the most excited, knowledgeable young waiters we've ever been served by anywhere, strongly but sweetly suggested their House Sicilian Salad for us to get started, we didn't think much of it, but after a couple of bites, my wife and I looked at each other with mouths still full and almost in unison we said: "This is the best salad I've ever have in my life!" There are 10 ingredients in it and you can choose not to get some of them, but we just got it the way it comes originally and we just had a blast! No words to describe how impressed we were. We order a Large "BOSS" pizza and besides the succulent cheese with fresh pepperoni it already comes with, we added diced tomatoes, olives and some other little toppings as well. We were very satisfied with the brick-oven taste of each mouth-watering slice of that pizza. For dessert, both my wife and I asked for their "Tiramisu" made in the house. Since it looked so good on the menu and Max guaranteed us we would love it, we just went for it.  Well, weren't our boy right again? My wife, who had tasted many of those along the years, said for the second time without hesitating: "I got to say that it is also the best Tiramisu I've ever had!" Even the espresso at the end was good! We will certainly recommend this very place to family and friends.

Not all Sicilian Ovens are the same - this was our first time at Delray, we've been to Lighthouse Point and Tamarack. We brought my parents and sister visiting from out of town there on a Monday night. Apparently there was a party of 80 there that shut down half the restaurant so we got there at 6 and had to wait an hour to be seated. They asked us what kind of table we preferred (high top, etc). There was a table meant for us where the people took forever to leave and the seaters let us switch to that one once it was empty which was really nice. Every dish we ordered was excellent (food a little salty for my taste but still delish), everyone was happy with it, and our server was great. We ordered a large Sicilian salad, rosemary garlic bread, and an entree for each of the 5 of us and only one of us brought home leftovers. Our bill was very reasonable - around $100 for 5 people (no extra drinks ordered). It was a little loud in there. It wasn't my favorite location of SO due to the noise and the layout, but the service and food were excellent and the price was right!

We had a few bumps that lead to my review of 2 stars. So first we tried to make reservations, but they don't do that. We were asked what time we wanted to be seated. We said 6:30 so we were told to come at 6 and we would be seated by 6:30 We were there before 6 and we weren't seated until 6:50. Next..None of our party of 5 had ever eaten there and we informed our server. We placed our orders and a while later the food server brought a salad. After the 5 served and started eating, a manager came over to say the salad wasn't for us. He was upset that we were eating it when we didn't order it. He proceeded to say that it was their last bit of lettuce so one friend said, "So, do you want it?!" He adamantly refused but again pointed out that we were eating it. Another friend said, "But we aren't paying for it because it wasn't our mistake, it was yours." Having never been there before, we didn't know that a salad was not brought to the table. We looked around and several of the tables nearby all had salads so we thought it came with the meal. The server never offered to add a salad, never asked, etc so it was an honest mistake. However, the manager was very unprofessional and accusatory, as if we had taken the salad off someone else's table! Then...Our meals arrived. 2 ordered Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. While huge, they came with no sides. They weren't offered any upon ordering so they were unaware. 1 ordered Chicken parm. The server asked if she wanted the sandwich or the meal. She said meal. Apparently, the meal is just chicken. No pasta, nothing on the side. How is that a meal? When she told the server she was missing her pasta, she was told it was an additional $7. Now, I'm sure if she had been told when she ordered that was the deal, she would have either added it or switched to the sandwich. Fact is, she wasn't given the option at the right time. All of these things made the experience negative (most especially the manager's behavior), so we will not be returning to this location. It's unfortunate because the food was delicious (even the "stolen" salad!) and the dessert was amazing. I'd go back just for the dessert, and to try the pizza but not to...

We gave Sicilan Oven in Delray a try Sunday night. It gets busy around 6 so we decided to go about 4:30. The indoor seating was plentiful and so was the very loud music in an empty space. We asked for a quieter table and we were then seated outdoors, the weather was nice, the music a bit less, but then the football from one of the bar’s tv’s was right there with us. Still it was better than inside.

We were promptly greeted by our server Hannah who took our order with a smile. We ordered our usual Pizza and Salad, both were quite tasty, no doubt. The pizza had all the extra ingredients in the center of our large pie with about two inches of crust around the edges, could have been spread out a bit more or more ingredients, perhaps. The Sici and Lian (the two guys on the bottle) Hot Oil is great on all that extra crust, but wold have preferred more sausage, mushrooms and peppers.

The restaurant filled up fast and …lo and behold they seemed to turn the music UP. Then there seemed to be a rush to get the 4-4:30 crowd off the patio, the patio is very nice, not aggressively but not hard to read the manager’s or whoever he was, body language, as he marched around the patio. There were QR codes on the doors saying to order online and when the bill came it indicated they preferred that you use Apple Pay for you check with another QR code. We did pay with Apple Pay, but when we go to a restaurant, part of the experience is being waited on. To me, that includes, taking my order and tending my payment. Just seemed this chain wants to place some of the workload onto the patrons.

Food is very tasty, we also bought an order of Eggplant Reggiano to go. We reheated it, dinner on Monday. My consort in food, enjoyed it very much, I thought it was okay, probably much better fresh at the restaurant, if you can take the music.

Enough said, our food was good, our server very nice, but we will probably never go there again, except to get more of that wonderful oil. It's back to our favorite pizza place, same distance from home, quieter and more for your money, and pretty much the same menu, in my opinion. Although, hey they were crowded and everyone seemed to be enjoying, so...

First time visit based on friend's recommendation who frequents their happy hour often. I want to give this a FULL review because I enjoyed it and work in the industry (Server/Bartender/Pre and Line Cook/FOH Manager experience).

Came for the "Bar Bites" and the discounted drinks during Happy Hour (HH). It's not listed well on any site unless you can find on Yelp from another's review. HH Drinks M-F all day till 7pm (decent middle shelf liquors to choose from) / Bar Bites - 4 -7pm (ranges from $5-$8 pending your choice/tapas style but pretty decent... GET THE GARLIC MUSSELS they are cooked in the wood fire oven!!!).

Said friend and I stayed for 3 HOURS! (We ordered 4 plates including a Sicilian salad (share 2-3 servings), Rice Ball (sause on side comes with meat - delish), Garlic Mussels, and the Short Stack(that's really for one but you can split it) and drinks... sitting at a community high-top table. Three sets of couples/small family turned over 3 times on either side of us while we were there because we loved the food, and atmosphere was very chill. Watching the open kitchen was distracting and the single bartender working bar and service even hit the floor once to drop off a drink and say hi with a packed restaurant.

Kudos to our server MADDIE who is a gem of personality/server. She treats you well and like a regular. I notice they have a good patronage of regulars and this was due to multiple tables asking for the Host and other servers by name. The Host (Stella?) was hustling and I could tell she helps to keep the tables turning and timely with walking. Give her credit for how SHE and the other staff keep things moving. This location is a well oiled machine, even if there is a little bit of a wait to get your drink or your food. Most of the time I didn't notice the timing that went by because I was enjoying the vibe of atmosphere.

Also, GET THE DESSERT! I will be back and I will...
