So I went today around 130p.m. and I purchased a whole grilled chicken grinder. I asked for extra cheese extra lettuce and extra tomato on the whole sandwich. And I paid for the extra. When I got home and open the sandwich I realize that they were only two tomato slices on the sandwich and hardly any lettuce. Where was the extra cheese? It didnât even cover the sandwich. So when I called to inform the staff that the sandwich was not really up to par there was nothing extra on the sandwich, the response that I got from the gentleman on the phone was âIâm sorry. We wonât make it a habit. My two managers were just on the way out leaving. Although you did say you had a mayonnaise allergy we did make sure to go back into the kitchen and get a clean knife to cut the sandwich. â I was a little shocked that not even a remake of the sandwich was even offered. I wouldâve even paid for a new sandwich. But for $23 I just think it was a little ridiculous. I have never had any problems with Santinoâs ever. They have the best pizza and the best grinders. But today I was a little disappointed . So then I had to stop by a grocery store and purchase lettuce tomatoes and extra cheese so my $23 sandwich now became a $35 sandwich. And the response that I got was weâre sorry we wonât make it a habit. Are you serious? I may not be coming back here for a while. And although one customer not returning to a store really wonât affect it that much, I really expected a little bit more out of Santinoâs. My sandwich has not even been eaten yet and itâs...
Read moreThis place is way over-priced and trying poorly to be a knock-off of Hungry Howies and a few other chains all rolled in one.
There is an identity crisis with this restaurant. They don't know if they want to be a pizza place, a sandwich place, etc.
The employees exhibit no sense of urgency or motivation. Yet, they openly expect tips for horrible service and customers having to get their own drinks and clear their own tables. I was surprised they even brought the food to the table...though they obviously take no pleasure in that and seemingly would rather have the customers do that along with cooking their own food. If I were the owner, I'd fire everyone from the managers down to the dishwashers.
The food itself is lack-luster at best. They're actually a step below Dominos and Papa John's...both of which I hate for their poor quality food. Ironically, they are half-again more expensive than these two competitors.
All-in-all, this restaurant is poorly situated along US Highway 90 to where you can easily miss it. So, if you do pass it by, you won't be missing much. Just consider yourself lucky and drive in to a...
Read moreAnother good place gone. Now you are basically forced to the online order setup and if you want delivery forced to doordash. Recently ordered steak grinder and pizza plastic brownie. Wifebwanted no peppers, that worked. The rest ? Awful. Did arrive at time they guesstimate. No brownie for my wife. Called and was told to get refund from doordash. What ? They did offer to leave a note for free brownie next time. Free ? I paid for it ! But to get delivery first you have to order thru doordash then call store and tell them to add. What a foolish system. The steak grinder was little "chips" of beef. Really. Perhaps 1/4 to 1/2 inch long and wide, 1/16 inch thick. Dry, tasteless. The whole grinder fell apart when I unrolled the foil, spilling entire contents of sandwich onto counter. The pizza looked and tasted old. It was overly dark on surface and like the steak, dried out. Expensive, unpleasant experience. Y'all need to get some adult management in there and coordinate with door dash. I could see my order on doordash texts but nowhere was an invoice to be found. Yes the brownie did show...
