I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Sarah’s Greek Cuisine & More was so thoroughly disappointing that I feel compelled to share. I want to support small, community-driven businesses, but unfortunately, this visit left me frustrated, misled, and frankly, insulted as a customer.
To begin with, the pricing discrepancies were beyond unacceptable. The prices listed on the website, on the in-store menu, and what I was told over the phone were all inconsistent — and none matched what I was actually charged. Not only is this misleading, but it borders on deceptive. To make matters worse, the website’s online ordering system was broken, making it impossible to place an order ahead of time.
Upon arriving, I explained that I had dietary restrictions and specifically asked if I could order the sandwich alone, without fries or soda. The man behind the counter confirmed the request but later claimed it couldn’t be changed because “the food had already been made” — despite it clearly being packed in a takeout container and clearly under his control. So, I was forced to pay for food and drink I neither wanted nor could consume.
I further inquired if they sold the chicken gyro by itself and was told “yes,” but when I asked for the price, I was directed to a printed pamphlet — which didn’t even list a solo gyro option. This lack of basic menu clarity is astounding and suggests a troubling absence of organization or customer consideration.
As for the food itself: the chicken gyro was a disaster. Oily, soggy, and poorly constructed — lacking onions or proper toppings, save for an excessive amount of meat smothered in sauce. It was unbalanced and unappetizing. It was also clear from the empty dining room that I wasn’t the only one who noticed something was amiss.
All in all, this restaurant needs a serious overhaul — not just in its operations and pricing transparency, but in customer service and basic food quality. I may give it one more try just to see if any of these glaring issues are addressed, but as it stands now, I cannot in good faith recommend Sarah’s Greek Cuisine & More to anyone. It’s disappointing when a local business makes it so difficult to support them — both in principle and...
Read moreUnfortunately, this is a review based on fraud and terrible business management. We ordered via phone, getting the menu from their website, 1 gyro combo, 1 gyro platter, a kid gyro platter and a grape leaves order. When I arrived I paid and left as I had my one year old in the car, after coming from a busy day and this place was on the way home. On the road I look at my receipt and I look at the extravagant prices that we were charged, including a double charge on items that we did not order. When I saw this I called the owner Hisham, and I mentioned to him that his prices were nothing like the website. He mentioned to me that that the menu was 10 years old on the website and not a current, the only menu that was current was Uber eats and that I should look at that one. I explained that his website menu advertised and even sent him screenshots, and that I should not be at fault for his lack of upkeep with his website. He responded that it is his fault, and asked me to send him my receipt and hung up.
I tried contacting him again via text and asked him to honor his pricing and to remove the double charge , showing him pictures of his own website (which are attached), I'm not asking for anything for free, just for him to do the right thing. Otherwise, I would report him to the BBB for false advertising as his prices were incorrect. After 30 minutes he later called me and asked me to return the food and that would be the only way to get the refund. I was 35 minutes at this time otherwise I would of gladly done so.
This place deserves not only a negative star review, but a look into their fraudulent activities, which I'm quite sure I'm...
Read moreFOR SURE NOT a place for a gyros plate. Are you looking for an actual gyros plate? This is definitely not the place. They give you meat, cucumber sauce, and fries. THAT'S IT!
Where, and/or how do you ever get a gyros plate that does not include meat, pita, onions, tomato, jalapeno, and feta? WHO BUYS A GYRO PLATE WITH NO PITA INCLUDED?!
This place not only charges you for a pita you should already be getting to begin with. Although, the person behind the counter liked to "inform" me that apparently a pita, onion, tomato, jalapeno is not included. Like, are you demented?! I told the guy behind the counter(possibly owner, idk) a gyros plate consists of meat, a pita, onions, tomatoes, jalapeno, cucumber sauce(and some places feta). And he tells me that that's "not" how a gyros plate is around here. Yet, he tries to inform me he at least gave me cucumber sauce. After I told him what a gyros plate actually consists of.
This place is a joke. After I was done with my meal, he tried to ask me if I didn't eat it all, he can give me something else. I told him I didn't really have a choice since this was the first thing I ate after I got into the state.
And then, the wife orders falafel and theirs are burnt to an absurd crisp. She asked for hummus, and their idea of a "side of hummus" is merely a half a teaspoon smeared on the plate. Complete joke. Their prices definitely do not compensate over to the food quantity/quality for what should be.
I wish I would've taken a picture of our food beforehand so you can see the idea of what they offered. I for sure do not recommend this place for this simple fact of their...
