*Update: They had pork, so I finally tried the Five Spices Braised Pork Hock and it was delicious. It has undertones of sweetness, especially with the gravy containing cinnamon, star of anise, and other spices, but it arguments the warmth and tenderness of the pork. There were a lot of fatty pieces, so it's not my favorite dish but that is probably the cut of the meat. I think it's worth it. Unfortunately I found out the famous appetizer, Siam Shumai, can only be made by the owner and they ran out. I am excited to try more dishes on return visits. And I will have that Siam Shumai! My first foray into Thai food has proven successful! This is a lovely Thai restaurant with an earthy atmosphere relying on gentle music, beautiful greens, and burnished metals to set the mood. The hanging and displayed objects add to the charm without cluttering the space. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Be aware, though, that Saturday nights are very busy, and you might have to wait to sit at the bar. The food is very delicious, and they are able to drop down the spice level and even remove spiciness from certain dishes. My favorite so far is the Beef Hot Pot, for its tenderly cooked beef chunks and flavorful broth, and the cheesecake lumpia rolls, crispy and dusted with powdered sugar. The Beef Hot Pot would probably be best split amongst two people and get the cheesecake lumpia rolls with caramel. The Northern Thai Style Chili Dip was very delicious, but for a small bowl at around $15-$16, the mark-up is too high. The Chicken Satay is good, grilled chicken in coconut; it added something different and coms with nice sweet vinegar and peanut sauces. The sticky rice with mango was gorgeous, but I was expecting more of a burst from the mango to vontrast with the rice pudding texture of the rest of the dessert. I still want to try the Shumai appetizer and the Pork Stew, but unfortunately they have been out for at least a month. It is a very good restaurant and I highly recommend it, but it is not a cost effective restaurant.

Yesterday was my first time visiting this restaurant. I was greeted by a very nice young lady who answered my questions and handed me a menu. A few minutes later the young man at the register offered to get me a drink while I waited and told me about the daily buffet. I was in a hurry so I ordered from the regular menu. I chose a bowl of Tom Yum soup (lemon grass broth) with shrimp and an appetizer portion of chicken satay (5 skewers of chicken) (see pictures below). A few minutes after I placed my order, a man named Thor (who I believe was the owner, approached me and offered me a sample of the "blossom" cookie that his "mother makes from scratch". It was excellent and I look forward to purchasing one of the other flavors (ie: toffee, etc) when I return. By the way, they have a lunch buffet and weekend buffet reasonably priced, with a great assortment of Thai foods. Everything was ready in 15 minutes and when I arrived back at work a few minutes later everyone came to the break room to see what the wonderful smell was. The fresh ingredients and wonderful flavors of curry and other spices made for an excellent experience. Serveral of my co-workers decided to visit the restaurant for lunch based on my review of the restaurant and the food. One more thing that I want to mention is that the ambiance when you enter the restaurant was very warm and inviting. They sell all of the Thai food products at the front of the store as well as jewelry and clothing. It is located on 9th Avenue between Creighton Road and Tippin Road, behind the Shell gas station on the right side and it is easy to miss when you drive past. There was a nice assortment of food items and everything was priced very reasonable!!!!

We were on vacation in Pensacola, FL and craving some Thai food. So we read some reviews for the area and found several very favorable reviews about this restaurant, including one that said it was the “best Thai food in the Panhandle.” So we decided on this one and had some pretty solid expectations. Disclaimer: I lived in Thailand for a summer, and have probably had more authentic Thai food experiences than your average American diner. So I’m coming at this from a different angle, and with a more informed palate. Some of the food we had was good. For instance, the Tom Kha Gai (chicken soup), Thai Iced Tea, and Spring Rolls were well made and delicious. Unfortunately, we also had some pretty poor food. The Pad Thai was so bad we only ate half the dish and didn’t even get a take out box. It had almost no flavor, and the noodles were very stringy. My Red Curry with Chicken dish was yellow (see photo), which was odd, and the flavor profile was wrong. But it tasted way better than the Pad Thai, an admittedly low bar. We decided against dessert, since the Pad Thai was a wash. This place boasts an official award from the Thai Ministry of Commerce of authentic Thai food, which is impressive. But I’ve had far better Thai food in Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, and Greenville, SC. Perhaps this is the best Thai food in the Florida Panhandle, but several key components of the entrees were just wrong. So I’m glad to recommend some of the food, but overall it was not a good experience, and that’s a shame. The dining area had some spacious seating, and lovely outdoor plants as decoration. The bathroom was clean, if a little dated.

Let me just start by saying…I don’t write reviews.

My husband and I showed up at 5:30 and were told it was going to be about an hour wait. We agreed and went to a bar down the road until the table was ready around 6:30…no problem. When we were seated, we were left there for about 20min waiting for any human interaction. Once they finally came over, we decided to order everything at once to speed the process up…a fatal mistake.

At this point we had the opportunity to admire the decor, which was beautiful, for the next 45min before anything or anyone came to the table. After speaking to 4 different servers, we we were able to get to get our drinks. Then they mentioned that they were short staffed and that it might take a while. Another 30min goes by and we were able to get our appetizer. We didn’t see our original waitress much, it kind of felt like she was trying to avoid us, but the young hostess really tried her best to accommodate us while we were there. Once it gets to be about 8:30pm, after sitting there for 2hrs, one of our meals comes out. Then we waited about 30 more minutes in hopes our second entree would come out and it never did. We were told they gave it to the wrong table and they had to make a new one, so we just asked for everything to go because we wanted to leave.

My husband and I are very familiar with the food industry, we totally understand being short staffed and stressed. We were calm, cool, and collected the entire time, but it got to a point where we just started hysterically laughing about it because there wasn’t any other option. Unfortunately most of the staff were young, scattered, and somewhat unprofessional. You could tell they were overwhelmed and didn’t know how to handle the crowd and we were understanding. And even as the crowd died down and it got slower, the staff was not really anywhere to be found and food was still not coming out to nearby tables.

Overall, I do want to mention, once we finally got our food, it was amazing. I was disappointed for the money spent, not because of the food, but because no one really seemed to care. I’m sure this was a fluke of an experience, but still not a good time for anyone. I recommend getting it to go and skipping the in-person...

This place is highly disorganized. We came in and waited a little over 15 minutes for our order to be taken nbd.. we ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer and a duck dish to split. 45 minutes later I had to flag down our server to ask if we could have more water and if our appetizer was coming out. She said probably with the food I'm not sure and seemed annoyed I asked. So then I asked if we could order the summer rolls as well and asked if they would be quicker and she said yeah. Then she came back and told us she forgot to put in our spring roll order. At that time a fish dish came out that wasn't what we ordered. They took it back. 10 minutes later another server came out and told us the server didn't put in the correct order and that the dish we did order was going to take a LONG time to come out. We asked how long pad Thai would take and she said there were a lot of orders ahead of ours but it would take less time but if we were hungry we could eat the fish dish. She also let us know that the summer rolls take a long time so I told her to just cancel them and we would eat the fish. We got the fried fish dish back and it was cold and mushy. I asked what kind of fish it was and it was a farmed catfish from Thailand called Swai. 10 minutes later the summer rolls that I asked to be canceled came to our table. Then the spring rolls that we asked to be our appetizer. I asked them if they were going to take the summer rolls of our tab or discount the fish dish since it was cold and not what we ordered and she said she had to call the owner in Thailand to ask. Then came back and said she would take off 12 dollars if we wanted but told us the server would have to pay it!!!? A few minutes later the server came back and in a rude way asked what was wrong with our fish. Then we never saw her again and she didn't give us the check. We just sat there and then went up to the front and had another server check us out. If you're the owner reading this, you are greedy and your staff are going to reflect that until your business is run into the ground. If you are looking for good Thai fusion food go to Lao Ocean in Gulf Breeze. It's better quality food and the service is...

My family and I were regulars at the old location so we decided to eat here after they moved locations. There was a short wait of about 20 mins. It wasn't even fully packed and there were a lot of tables that were "reserved."

We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 mains. The first appetizer came out after over 30 mins. The next appetizer came out 15 mins later and the final appetizer which was just fries came out 10 mins later after we had to ask some to check on our order. It makes no sense to send out appetizers separately so half the table can watch the other half eat. At that point we waited an hour just for appetizers. After another 10 mins, we asked how long the mains would take and the waiter said 10 more mins. We waited an additional 20 more mins and still no mains. I've owned an East Asian restaurant in the past and the food literally takes minutes to cook.

Eventually we told the staff that we were leaving and one of them offered a discount if we stayed but at that point we no longer wanted to wait. Our waiter even flat out told us that he doesn't blame us for leaving. It's as if the wait staff know this is a known issue. Judging by recent reviews, this was not a one off and they regularly take forever to get food out of the kitchen. So for 2 spring rolls, an order of cheese rangoons, 1 stale fries, 3 lemonades, 1 starry and 2 boba teas, we paid $65. They charge almost $15 after tax for boba. Sorry but the owner must think his restaurant is in LA or something because that's outrageous for Pensacola.

For context, we live 25 mins away, left the house at exactly 5:55pm, reached home at 8:32pm and didn't eat any food. 2 other parties left after they saw us leave because they had been waiting a long time as well. As we were leaving, the table next to us said if they didnt receive their food within the next 5 mins then they would be leaving too. We ended up ordering a couple of pizzas. As a former regular customer, I will never visit this place again. They should have felt ashamed for charging me full price. Avoid...
