Very Dangerous. I had watched the comical Good Deal Appliance commercials featuring their affable “appearing” owner who exudes being a really easy going good guy presenting his good products from his good company. He further presents as a great community guy. This owner knows his company delivered a mess to me, destroyed my kitchen floor and is only willing to reimburse me around 1/3rd of its value. Not because that is the amount of damage his company did but what he advises is all I would get from my insurance company and his combined. Is that doing the right thing Jay Russo? I called Good Deals Appliance for a new Whirlpool dishwasher and they delivered and installed it the next day. That was really good quick service and I was happy. Now hit the brakes and prepare for the PAIN. After 2 weeks we discovered their dishwasher had leaked and soaked our kitchen laminate floor. Good Deals came out to determine the problem and said it was pouring water out the side of their machine and they needed to replace with another new dishwasher. Then these service folks advised the original installing service folks had improperly wired the first dishwasher. They further advise me that someone could have been electrocuted had they stepped in the water at the right time. Wow…quite scary. (I will add pictures) They tell me I now have to hire an electrician to accommodate the length of their electrical cords. Say again……So we hire an electrician to do that. Then they replace their messed up dishwasher with another new one. Now it gets uglier. Good Deals then blames Whirlpool for the mess and advises I have to process a warranty claim through Whirlpool for my damaged floor and they are done with this issue. Then they cannot provide the information required to file a Whirlpool claim because they apparently never actually diagnosed a mechanical problem with the first dishwasher and Whirlpool had to be notified of their failed part#. Mike in their office on the phone with me “surmised” that it had to be the tub then at the time was not able to provide part # for that. So, then Good Deals advises they will now take care of the situation. They send 2 different repair service people out at different times to measure the floor for replacement. One repair service several weeks after the other. After the first repairman came out I was advised Mr. Russo through "Ralphie" would offer around 1/3rd of the required repair cost (5,000). Huh? After the 2nd repair service (flooring company) came out that was going to take care of everything I was advised Mr. Russo through "Ralphie" recommended destroying my bedroom floor that was not flooded to harvest an adequate number of laminate planks to repair the ruined kitchen floor planks that had gotten wet. Then they would pay me for a new bedroom floor installation. Run that by me one more time……….It took Mr. Russo 4 months to return my call and when he does he finally confirms what he had "Ralphie" advise me that the $5,000 previously offered is the best he will do. They have never really admitted fault to anything and kind of even eluded that the folks that “installed” their dishwasher was not actually their folks. Huh? No one needs this experience or putting their personal safety at risk to save minor dollars with a company who discounts accountability with their prices. Anyway I have taken one for the team here; for those of you reading this. Please protect yourself and spend the extra hundred bucks and do business with an appliance store that will fully stand behind their products, service and installation. Now it is time for me (Feb.2023) to process my ruined floor through my home owners insurance and will get to pay higher premiums because of it. Thanks again Good Deals. My insurance company now advises that the damage is actually reasonably more than what Mr. Russo’s "experts" advised. Anyway you will be able to read more on this complaint when I have time to add this to their list of Better Business...
Read moreI was in a bind. As part time home owners in Naples, when something breaks we try our best to take care of it while we are In town. Our KitchenAid black ss microwave stopped working. I called 3 area stores for pricing and delivery times. The bss finish is a special order item. Therefore we were looking at a 4-6 wk delivery date. A kind salesperson from a competitor company referred me to Good Deals. A very friendly and helpful gentleman by the name of Terrell answered my call and solved our problem. He had my microwave in stock at a good price so I bought it right then. Terrell went out of his way to make sure we received the best customer service from beginning to end. He scheduled my delivery and installation for the following day. I received a call to confirm my order and I was given a 4 hour delivery window for the following day. I received an Email with my purchase invoice and delivery confirmation. The morning of the delivery I received a text specifying approx arrival time. Then I received a call From the Good Deals driver that he would be arriving early! To my great surprise, Two installers showed up for the job. They removed the old microwave and replaced it with The new microwave. They cleaned up and programmed the microwave before taking our microwave back with them. Within minutes from their arrival we had a beautiful, functioning microwave. The icing on the cake was Terrell called me the day after the installation to ask how everything went! I have never received that level of detailed customer service from any company my entire life. I highly Recommend Good Deals to anyone who is looking for outstanding service on their appliances. Thank you to Terrell...
Read moreWe are so glad that we checked out Good Deals Appliances before we bought somewhere else. We needed a fridge, stove, dishwasher and a microwave for our soon to be renovated condo. Our salesman, Jason Toprani, proved to be a walking encyclopedia of all makes, models and grades of appliances - which is exactly what we needed. His patient, personal (and sometimes humorous) approach to helping us determine the best value for our situation was refreshing. He did not rush us at all. In fact, he encouraged us to voice any questions or concerns throughout the process.
In addition to the great deal we received, we were delighted to learn that Good Deals was willing and able to work seamlessly and directly with our renovation contractor to coordinate delivery and installation. The value of that level of coordination cannot be overstated for us because our main residence is several states away from our Florida condo.
In summary, we believe the total value that we received at Good Deals Appliances far exceeds that which their competition offers. Taking into account excellent pricing, knowledgeable and professional service, accountability and coordination, we know we didn’t receive just a “good deal”, we received a “great deal”! Thank you Jason for the most satisfying and valuable appliance experience we ever had. You and your company have earned our highest...
