First time trying Sonny's BBQ. Had read tons of reviews and was looking forward to seeing what all the hype was about. First thing I noticed was that there was no smoke smell in the restaurant. That's a negative in my mind. Sat down and looked at the menu. Already new I was ordering the all you can eat ribs. Waitress was Donna. Took drink and appetizer order. Got the Redneck egg rolls. We're really good with a smokey ranch dipping sauce. They were pretty good. Received first drinks. One of our party had the all you can eat salad bar. She was very disappointed at the selection compared to a closer Sonny's. Very limited, food not prepared appropriately. Received my first round of ribs and sides. Ribs weren't bad, had the right amount of glaze to them. Baked beans were worst than regular canned beans, very watery. Cole slaw was the highlight as it was similar to KFC. One of the parties asked for a 2nd beer. Litterly took over 15 minutes to get it. It was just a bunch of mistakes by the waitress the rest of the night. I had to ask other waiters for assistance. The place started to get busy and you could see more and more people having to waiting longer and longer for their food. This particular site needs help, management definitely not involved. Read moreManager and his worker are the rudest people I’ve ever encountered at any restaurant. I got the wrong food at the drive-thru on my way home from having outpatient knee surgery. Got home & called them, they were extremely rude (worker didn’t even let me tell her the issue before she transferred me to the manager. Manager never picked up the phone). Called back, same girl answered (started getting rude again before I could explain), told her not to do that, as it’s unprofessional. Transfers me to manager (he actually answered), who’s just as rude/nasty as she is. Explained the issue (received sliced pork sandwich instead of the pulled pork.) Manager says he never got an order for sliced pork on the drive-thru, I said I know, that’s why I was calling (it was a pulled pork sandwich). Tried to come up with solutions, they couldn’t be bothered. Was told we’d receive a voucher in the mail, asked for email confirmation, they don’t do that. We waited until 12:35 to call and see how much longer it would be because it was already 20 minutes past the pick up time. The girl on the phone asked someone next to her how much longer it would be and the person she was talking to said “tell them it’ll be like another ten minutes and we’re busy because it’s Father’s Day”. Totally understand getting behind because of a holiday. However in the time we were waiting for our order 2 suvs and a truck came through the drive through and got there food after we had already been waiting for ours. Then when our food finally came out at 12:46, a girl with glasses and brown hair brought it to us and didn’t say anything. Not hi, not sorry about the wait, not even checking to see if it was our name on the order. She handed us the drinks and the food and said have a good day as she was walking away.
