At midnight on October 30th I placed an online order to be held in the pick up section of the store at the front. There were 3 of the items I needed in stock I ordered 1. When I sent my husband in to pick up my order later that same day, the manager informed him that all three bottles had been sold today. Including mine that should have been removed from the sales floor at opening. When my husband called me to inform me the product I had already purchased was not there I got upset so I walked in to speak to the manager myself. When the man walked up I asked simple questions about how this could happen and informed him of my past in retail and how his story was not accurate. He was speaking to me as if I had little to no intelligence and was attempting to dismiss me quickly and I’m not sure if it was the fact that I was a woman or that I’m black because when he spoke to my white husband he was honest about them having been sold then when speaking to me he was lying to my face and trashing the Michael’s brand while doing so. Trying to blame his mistake on the companies website which is all electronic and everything in stores is shown to be available or not through the SKU numbers is just pathetic to see coming from a manager and if he really has that little knowledge on the systems of his stores and the rules he is supposed to follow regarding pick up orders he should not be in that position. I had to then drive 40 miles total to go to another Michael’s store to get the product i had already bought at the store 5 minutes from my house all because that short bald racist man lacked the ability to do his job correctly. I have called corporate and will be hearing back shortly as they were very interested to hear about the treatment I received at a Michael’s store that is fully against what they are known for. I love Michael’s.. but...
Read moreWent in with my mom to grab a couple of things, my mom went to the standard checkout as she also had a pick up order. At checkout Rae had asked if we were together or separate and we informed her we would be separate purchases. Rae informed me I could go to self checkout as she was clocking out and leaving after she had finished the transaction with my mother. I went over to the self checkout and started scanning items and Miley was nearby and saw I had a ceramic piece that needed wrapping and went ahead and wrapped it up for me. My mother finished her transaction with Rae and she started to help her with her pick up order then 3pm hit and she passed my mother off to Miley to finish helping figure out the pickup order. Rae’s customer service needs some work from management. Thank you Miley for helping out and not being hyper focused...
Read more5 Stars for the store and the products itself but 1 star for the weird...experience that I had. I’m not sure what was going on, maybe the coworkers had a bad day or something I don’t know. Back in December, I went in the store and asked a cashier if they were hiring. This cashier was very friendly, he smiled and said how there was seasonal hiring but he wanted to make sure. He asks the other cashier across from him, “Are we currently hiring?” and there’s complete silence. I turn around and I see the cashier GLARING at me with so much malice. He literally does not say a word, and his eyebrows are furrowed. I turn back to the friendly cashier and he has a worried look on his face and apologizes. Even though it seems like a small issue it really bothered me. I don’t normally go to this location and I guess that day was a...
