Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

I have been coming to this location for so many years. After my recent experience here, I absolutely had to write this review. First, the store itself is so dirty, unkept, and un inviting. I was the only one in the store at 2pm on a Sunday with three employees working. None of them took the time to clean tables that still had garbage on them and the ordering station looked like they were about to vacate the premises in the near future (empty cubby holes, no drinks in the cooler, etc). The floors are so dirty and it looks like no one cares to freshen up the appearance here. Second, when you pay there is always a prompt to tip (which I always do at other Tropical Smoothie Cafes because at those locations they bring you your order to the table). Here it is, I leave a 15% tip, I’m the only one here, there’s three of them working & yet they call my name and have me walk up to get my order. What’s the tip for? They’re all joking in the kitchen and could have easily just brought my order to me. This store is pathetic. As much as I love Tropical Smoothie, this is a horrible location and I won’t...

I typically REALLY enjoy Tropical Smoothie's food and the service people at this location were pleasant enough. The low review comes from being very concerned at seeing 2 ppl in the back without masks and gloves who appeared to be touching food. After awhile they put on gloves but they still didn't have masks on and seemed to be talking over the food. I asked the cashier if they were the ones who were going to be making the food bc they aren't wearing masks. He said it was them but that he will let them know to place their masks on while making the food.

I continued to watch and the people making my food never put on a mask. I ended up throwing the food out and will never come to this location again. There are alot of people who aren't taking this pandemic seriously but there are alot of ppl who are and would rather stay home and order delivery thinking it's safe. I just want those ppl to know that it is a high likelihood that if you order from this location, those who make your food won't be wearing masks...

Today is National Smoothie Day and Tropical Smoothie advertised a free 24 oz smoothie with entrée purchase. I'd been far removed from this venue and prefer now WaWa Smoothie. I decided to go back because of the special for one, and secondly to see if it was good as I once remembered. WELLLL, nope! You can always tell something ain't right when you walk in an establishment an there's not a soulll. Anywho, against my best judgment I proceeded to place my order. When I told the young lady it was National Smoothie day she says, "Huh???" Dead giveaway #2. Then we had several tries with the register getting the discount correct 🙄 but the all time kicker was the Watermelon Mojito Mint Smoothie tasting of a Watermelon rotten with no mint. The young lady making the Chipotle Chicken wrap had a look of pure rage as if not wanting to be there. It was just 10 bucks blown in the wind never to be seen again...as Tropical Smoothie will never see me or my dollars again....
