Mattress Firm is a scam outfit. They just look for excuses to not honor their warranties. They claim to contact them with questions, promise they will get back to you, then have you waiting weeks for a response. In my I wiped a little dirt off of the mattress and they used that to deny my claim as unsanitary. I tried to contact them again to discuss, but they ignored me or made promises to contact me that never developed. Their 3k mattress lasted one year before it was garbage. It's been two months that I've been trying to work with them, waking up in pain as I have a bad back, and they just put me off. No wonder there are so many other companies popping up and being successful, they actually work with their customers. You try to put the warranty details on their site, takes around 20 minutes to get everything correct, then you get a server error. You call and no one responds. You email and it takes over a month to get denied. You try to contact them with questions and you are ignored. Although the sales people at this location are very helpful, the fact is that the company and product are horrible. I was told to just resubmit the claim, but I cannot take another 2 months waiting for a response.
UPDATE: After these posts I was called by their corporate office. The warranty only covers sagging mattresses and mine has lost support but does not sag. I received about half the money as credit towards a new mattress. Although it's not quite what I wanted I understand their position and this is them eating any profit in order to do right by me. I found a mattress in my price range, so no more money out of pocket. We stayed at a Westin earlier in the year and loved their mattress, so we bought that exact model. I first spoke with Ishmael, who was very helpful. At first I put money down for the mattress; the plan was to come back to pay in full at a later date and pick up the mattress. I then realized I could finance, so I applied online, got approved, and went back to the store to pick up my new mattress.
When I arrived Ishmael was gone. I was now being assisted by a blonde lady (apologies, as I do not remember her name) who seemed reluctant to help my girlfriend and I. She was to process the order; and since I was now financing, she also processed a refund of the money I put down with Ismael.
Overall she seemed very reluctant to assist us. I remember asking about assistance with strapping the mattress to my car (a service which Ismael enthusiastically offered) and her response was a very reluctant one, almost the complete opposite of Ishmael's. Overall it seemed like she didn't want to help us.
When I called in regards to never receiving the refund, they could not find my order which apparently had a typo in the name, phone number, and email address. Truly a rough experience. Especially considering the lady had my ID at one point and could have asked me to confirm the information at any other point.
Edit: Shannon has reached out to me in regards to this issue; she explained to me what may have happened and that she will be reaching out to corporate before getting back to me.
