I'll begin by saying that I didn't have a bad experience - in fact, touched on a feeling I've been missing as far as food places go. That feeling?... The grease! The salt! And I don't even mean that in a bad way. Have you ever noticed how places say they're improving the quality, but then they're not as good anymore? Just be ungood, embrace the classic taste, that's this place. Not bad prices either, fairly priced. I ordered the Wisconsin butter combo, and when they say butter, they mean butter. Greasy and soaked in butter, it was dripping everywhere. Feel like it could've used toppings that weren't additional charges. As well, the fries? Love. They're basically what McDonald's fries used to be. The place itself has a classical charm to it, going for like that 50s/60s aesthetic. They were playing music that wasn't that old, I believe? But certainly older rock stuff, stuff your dad probably listens to. Fit the appearance of the place, I suppose. Now, for the downside. As another reviewer said, it's a self-order, self-serve experience. There's no menu put up. You just go to a kiosk and view/select menu items there. And during that process, they... Ask you to tip? Tip, who? For what? Which was a turn-off. There was an employee there who helped me when he noticed my confusion as to why the drink dispenser wasn't working. Your receipt will have a QR code on it (like a black and white patterned square for the uninformed) that you have to scan before the dispenser actually puts anything out, and apparently you only have 15 seconds upon scanning it. That was another turn-off. Overall, it's not a bad experience. Again, it's something I've been missing as far as how food is. Very classic food place; I might return if I get the urge for something greasy. But I feel like maybe they turned to modernizing the setup, perhaps a bit too much + asking for a needless tip on top of the drink machine thing, just not a very welcoming experience...
Read moreThe first thing we saw when walked in was a sign saying that multiple items on the menu were unavailable. We went ahead and ordered at the kiosk which was operating as normally as possible, we did however get a view into the kitchen where not a single hair-net, glove, or even close toed shoe was to be seen. There only appeared to be 2 people preparing the food which was alright because it was a ghost town (evidently the locals avoid it like the plague). The food took a decently long time to arrive and when it did the restaurant was out of cheese sauce for their SIGNATURE fries, we asked for either a refund on the sauce or for them to serve the correct food to which they responded âwe will look for some more cheese sauceâ which they apparently never found because they didnât say a word to us. The (incorrect) food was sub-par but not much better than something from McDonaldâs. Two of the employees (the only people working at the grill) walked out of the restaurant and drove off about an hour before closing time. After we ate our food we still hadnât gotten our milk-shakes after about 45 minutes (another group of people got 4 milk shakes in about 5 minutes) when we asked the manager and some random guy with no uniform wearing a sweated through tank top told us some exude about how we didnât order so we showed the receipt and they brought us two small milkshakes. When we asked for a refund for our cheese sauce and milkshakes since they took so long they (supposedly) gave us a refund but we never received it. Overall: go to Burger King or McDonaldâs (the food will be better and come out faster) because this place is simply disappointing and will leave you with a literal and figurative bad taste...
Read moreThey made my butter burger with no grilled onions⌠which is okay, mistakes happen and I asked nicely for it to be remade. The girl on grill had unacceptable behavior when she was asked to remake it. She screamed out, âWell she is going to have to wait!â Which waiting is also fine when mistakes happen, but her attitude, the scream, her whole demeanor when asked to remake it in front of everyone in the restaurant was not okay. Then, an employee had said something to the grill girl (I did not hear what the employee said because she was talking discreetly, but I am assuming she was correcting the grill girls behavior) the girl on the grill screamed out multiple times that she donât care and as well as she REALLY donât care. She restated it roughly 6 times. Trust me, everyone in the building understood that the girl didnât care. I didnât see anyone that looked like a manager there. Edit/add on They threw out my whole tray and forgot to give me fries with my remake. So I said to the girl âhey, you threw my fries out too so I need new ones pleaseâ âŚ. And she rolled her eyes and said, â I didnât throw your fries out, the other girl did.â Then she walked back to get me new. What??? What is up with the unnecessary attitudes here? I made sure to say please and thank you with everything I asked and said to them regardless of their bad behavior because I am responsible for my behavior/actions and reactions. And they are responsible for theirs. It shows what kind of...
