REVIEW FOR THE AVID SUSHI LOVER Where to begin, If you are looking for a genuine Sushi Dining Experience, get ready to be immersed into an exotic Japanese fable. From the moment you walk in, Attentive Staff elegantly dressed in colorful kimonos Come right out of an ancient folk book’s pages welcome you into the story you just stumbled into. The scene is set with traditional samurai swords, mystical paintings and Enzo symbols covering the wall tapisserie. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a spot on the bar, and observe the artful craftsmanship that the Chefs put on display before your very eyes. Make sure to notice the utensils, condiment racks, and soy sauce bottles, they are NOT your bland and commonly found items in mediocre sushi places. This Banquet is set with new bottle models for soy sauce, cherry tree decorated condiment racks, clay pencil holders, that subtly fit the character of this restaurant. Kabuki’s paid extra attention to minute details to truly provide the ultimate journey through Japanese cuisine and culture. NOW THE FOOD (The pictures speak for themselves) The Sashimi is otherworldly. Sea Urchins (Uni) literally Bursts with oceanic perfumes and take you back to your childhood spent surrounded by the rocky beaches aromas. The sashimi pieces are steak cut pieces. NOT your average lukewarm, paper-thin, dangling colorful fish pieces. The freshness of the fish, incomparable. Sashimi Salmon prism thick cut, For added texture and crunchiness. Sashimi Tuna (Maduro), velvety, crimson red ligament free, fatty tuna that just melts on your tongue. Octopus, carefully and meticulously presented with with suction rings crowning the bilateral thick cut. White Escolar, half an inch pieces that hit the pallet with full flavor. Yellow Fin Tuna, best I have had hands down, tree rings pattern on the meat cut, with a delicious green onions and bluish fish eggs garnish that perfectly complement this fish And satisfy the palet. NOW SUSHI ROLLS No matter how big or small your ordered roll, it is Meticulously Written like a story and Elaborately placed on mini, medium, large and extra large and newly varnished toned wooden artisanal boats, old town bridges, all the elements you would find in fairy tales. As you read your way through the rolls, you will finally come to the realization that the owner Jay and his staff offer their customers an epic journey, instead of just a sushi meal. No matter how big or small the roll, you will get a vessel, and Kabuki will rock your boat!! Amazing lunch specials, 2 for one Sake, a meal as fresh, copious and generous as the one we had, would easily run you $200 at any other sushi place. Our bill...$84. Embarked on that remarkable journey, we gladly tipped $70 without a hiccup and will do it again without hesitation. 15yrs if eating sushi here, I finally found home. Kabuki, thank you for beating your competition by a 1,000 pages. Will be back in less than a week for another epic Story Time. Guys, if you have a date, this is the equivalent of taking her to the opera. ENJOY! BE CURIOUS and check out SUSHI KABUKI.

Everytime I come here for sushi the service has been great. I haven’t found anything I didn’t enjoy.

Prices are reasonable, the food is good, and the servers are friendly. There are many options for rolls, so there's probably something there for anyone. They serve Korean food in addition to Japanese food, so more choices exist. We saw what seemed to be about 4 different parties of regular customers, so it seems to be a good place for the locals. I was bummed because the were no good options for just a little bit of food since the portions are large. Any meal that was not sushi, sashimi, or rolls was typically a large portion of food without an affordable way to shrink the portion size. I'd be happy to go back, though I'm also happy to try other places.

So sad to witness the great downfall of sushi kabukišŸ˜žThe new people that took ownership are a complete disgrace and I heard it from others but now I see it myself. From the atmosphere to the quality of service…. there’s a reason there are new workers every single week. Unorganized, sloppy sloppy sloppy and rude. They don’t even keep a simple waiting list when it’s busy so people will walk in hungry and not get a table for 30 minutes and others will be sat right away. No sections, you never know who your server is and neither do they. Especially African American and Spanish tables, they were greeted AND served last. As someone in the industry I was disgusted to even be employed here a single day which (thank god) is all I lasted anyways. Make new people do all the work and then keep all their tips for 2-3 WEEKS of ā€œtrainingā€ and pay them pocket change to work open to close. Then fire them because they ā€œcame in late to every shiftā€ but I only worked ONE!šŸ¤”šŸ˜‚. Literally getting rich on the back of these kids because now at least adults know what kind of joke these two dudes are. It’s an absolute shame and it breaks my heart to see the downfall of a place I’ve introduced to so many people and one of my all-time favorites but all good things come to an end and it’s definitely the end for them.

*SIDENOTE: they STILL haven’t even given me my only check and they actually never planned to. Then they give me wrong amount (1/2 the amount owed) and make me wait longer. For a WRITTEN check. Now it’s at ā€œthe other officeā€šŸ˜šŸ’€ They also stated they dont want to give it to me unless I brought back their black T-shirt with logošŸ˜‚šŸ˜šŸ’€ Can’t imagine how many people they’ve done this to and how long they’ve been doing it. Like I said, absolute JOKEšŸ˜šŸ’€

Absolutely my favorite sushi place hands down!!! Upset I didn’t write a review sooner since I’ve been a regular for a few years nowšŸ˜… But seriously I’ve been to a lot of sushi spots and this one has the best prices, always the freshest sushi and truly consistent in quality and service. Wish I can...

We eat here fairly often, and the food is usually pretty good, but the service lately has been terrible. The last few times we've been here the wait times have been ridiculous, but I gave them a pass because they were busy and are usually apologetic for the wait. Not today. Ordered food tonight for takeout, and was given an estimated time of 6:15 for pickup. Cool. I live 5 minutes from here, so I left around 10 after 6 to go pickup my food. When I arrived there was nobody at the front counter and a few other people were standing there waiting as well. 15 minutes went by before anybody even acknowledged we were there, and when I told the waiter my name for the order he said he would check and be right back. 10 more minutes went by(it's almost 6:40 at this point) and he came back to seat a couple who had been waiting for about 20 minutes. At 6:48 somebody finally came up with my order(no apologies for the long wait by the way) and I was finally on my way home. When I opened up the bags for my order, i noticed the soup had been spilled because it was put on the bottom for some reason and the salmon teriyaki was cold and dry. The vegetable tempura and dumplings were cold as well. I'm not sure what happened this time, but the service sucked and the food was not good at all, especially considering my total for everything was almost $90.00. I will definitely be eating somewhere else for sushi from now on....
