I’m a regular customer of this restaurant and today I was not happy. Ordered big breakfast and a soda. Food came out very quickly. Female owner brought our food to the table and sat plates down on the table in front of me. Waitress came by and noticed I got 3 sausage patties instead of 2 apparently. She with no permission; took my plate away and returned within seconds and one of my patties was gone. I asked why did you do that? She explained in front of owner that I should of gotten 2 patties instead of 3. I told her I often get this big breakfast and it comes with 3 patties sometimes. She asked if I wanted another patty for a charge, and I said no. This tactic today was not customer service friendly and not right. Plus the owner was right there and should of said to her just leave it. I was really pissed off as just the principle. I don’t think l’ll be going back as quite as frequently. There are plenty of other good breakfast places close to my home. The bottom line is once my plate is on the table on front of me; it should of stayed unless I had a problem. Terrible customer service doing what she did. Not the...
Read moreEverything on the menu is around $7-10. The menu is reminiscent of a classic diner's (eggs, steaks, toasts, grits, pancakes, etc.) but the restaurant interior is more like an Asian restaurant (modern, sparse, and no booths) and the music caters to country-loving locals. An odd feature is that some items, like the quiche I ordered or the avocado toast with eggs that was rotating on their specials menu on the TV, are not listed on the menu. I thought the portions were small, but adequate for lunch. The flavor was great, down to the fresh brewed coffee. I ordered a broccoli quiche, which was more like a very cheesy omellette. It was good. It came with my choice of sides, and I ordered a great Italian wedding soup. I would come again if I were in the mood for diner classics at a good value, or wanted to catch up with a friend for something heavier than just coffee...
Read moreFirst time visit on 20 February 2019. Party of two adults for lunch.
This little place has been passed by 100 times without me seeing it before.
There are about 21 tables here and each one was occupied upon our arrival by a largely 70+ crowd. When you see that you know you are in the right place.
We got a seat within a couple minutes as people left and they were cleaned off quickly.
I ordered a Philadelphia cheese steak minus mushroom with fries and wife ordered a salad. The fries were rather short, needed a fork to stab them to dip in ketchup. The sandwich was pretty good, even having lived near Philadelphia in previous years past
The salad was disappointing though. Less leaf and more core, tasted bitter.
We will probably go back again but will stay away from the salad
Server was Lauren and she was very Friendly and prompt on refills of...
