BE AWARE OF EXTRA CHARGES THEY DON'T TELL YOU ABOUT AND ITEMS THEY CHARGE AND NOT GIVE TO YOU!
We are new to the area and were looking for a good place to get burgers. Last night we called in to place a take-out order and it was really a bad experience! First of all, menu prices on google are totally off! I understand it might not be done by the owners, but you should stay on top of it! So I called and ordered 2 Beach Burguers. Person on the phone asked me what kind of cheese we wanted and gave us a bunch of options available. We both picked blue cheese, but she did not mention there was an extra charge for it. Then I asked if they come with fries. Her answer was: yes, they come with fries or whatever other side you prefer. She than gave me a list of sides available and I picked onion rings. AGAIN, she did not mention there was an extra charge for it. I went ahead and also ordered a soda and placed the order. Twenty five minutes later my husband gets home with our order and the soda was missing. He was in shock 2 TAKEOUT burguers cost $30! I couldn't understand either. So I called the restaurant and she told me the burgers were $11.95 (as opposed to 6.95 listed on google), plus we had to pay for blue cheese and onion rings and the soda that we never got! Please understand that I do not paying for good food. But they should have told me about uncharges and not just give me options like they were part of the regular price. Last night not only service was terrible but food was just ok. Onions were chewy and meat was dry. I understand that everybody does mistakes and forgetting the soda could happen anywhere, but the way the situation was handled made me very upset. First the lady on the phone just said "I am sorry, maybe we can do something for you next time you come in, if you decide to do so." Seriously??? I then told her to just cancel our credit card charge and ring it again without the soda. She told me I would have to wait till next day because the manager on duty didn't know how to do it (!) She seemed very irritated and said there was nothing else she could do. So next day I spoke to them again and they demanded I gave them the credit card number again, which I did not have at the time. Lady also sounded irritated about cancelling $3. So I decided they can keep the 3 dollars and never have our business again. It was a bad experience but how the restaurant handled was even worst! You might think I am making a big deal out of nothing but both my husband and I have worked / work in the hospitality industry, including restaurants and management, for many years and we know how customer service should work. I was expecting a more receptive solution to THEIR mistakes. Definitely not...
ย ย ย Read moreWe liked Lindtburger and GLO Paradise Burger (previous business/owner), and expected similar from Lindsay's. Unfortunately when I ordered the steak sandwich on special (I asked for medium well), I received a steak instead. The staff immediately erased the special from the chalk board, and said they would honor it, as if they were doing me a favor... They took the steak and brought back a steak sandwich, which had a stiff piece of white lettuce with no green, a third of an onion not even chopped which I had to separate to even fit the sandwich, no cheese or anything. Worst of all the steak was totally rare, not even pink but red. I asked for medium well. The bread was soaked with blood which made me sick to my stomach, both there and afterwards. The special was supposed to come with fountain drink, which I wasn't even offered, and when I asked about it I was asked what I want to drink, and they will honor it, then 'no problem'. I didn't say thank you so they were acting as if they were doing me a service or something? When I showed them the bloody bread and steak, they tried to lie to me that it was sauce. There was no sauce. I told them that and they said OK we can make you another. I said no and felt sick just looking at it, so I told them to take it off. My guests Hawaiian burger was burnt (charred) and she felt bad the evening and next day, burping. My mom's reuben made her feel sick too, especially the orange sauce which wasn't even for a reuben, and it was stagnant in the plastic cup and not fresh. The place smelled like burnt grease which I understand it's a burger joint, but it felt suffocating almost like someone had doused the place in peanut oil or something... We wanted to like this place but it is no longer what it was with the previous owner. We don't understand the positive reviews this place has received, and I am tempted to believe that it is from friends of the owner or something. Why was our food service so extremely poor in this case? Why would we be treated in a less tasty way than other customers are guested? Was not a positive...
ย ย ย Read moreI've eaten at Lindburgers a number of times in the past and always enjoyed the food. I would qualify it as a middle quality burger etc restaurant. This evening i accepted an invite from my husband to grab a bite at Lindburgers. We enjoyed a satisfying meal but my burger was too large and I decided to take half home so I could enjoy a nice lunch the next day. We left and stopped into Home Depot next-door for short period of time when I realized I left my package on the table. When I went back to hopefully retrieve it I was told by a few different people that it was probably tossed and when someone looked in the back sure enough it was tossed out in the trash. My suggestion for a restaurant would be that if they find a to-go container on the table they should assume the person forgot it and would possibly return for it and set it aside for a short period of time. I was very disappointed that the staff was like 'oh well sorry it got thrown ou'.. I'm hoping the owner of Linburgers in Lantana Florida will see this and instruct the staff to do a better job of satisfying a customer i.e. set aside a leftover package of food for at least a...
