After moving from California a few years ago, we've been on a mission to find authentic, mouthwatering Mexican food in the West Palm Beach area. Let me tell you, our search has finally ended at Tacos y Antojitos Emanuel! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a sparkling clean environment, setting the stage for an incredible meal.
Every single dish was a knockout. The carne asada flautas were crispy perfection, bursting with tender, flavorful meat. The carnitas burrito was a masterpiece – juicy, slow-cooked pork that melted in our mouths, with flavorful rice and beans, wrapped in a warm, tortilla, a side of guac, sour cream and two limes. The carne asada tacos were simple yet sublime, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and the chef's expertise. Even the kids' meals, a hotdog with fries and chicken tenders with fries, were clearly made with care, and my kids devoured them.
But let's talk about the stars of the show: the HOMEMADE SALSA and the Agua de Jamaica. The salsa was absolutely phenomenal, a vibrant blend of fresh ingredients that had us reaching for more chips (which were perfectly crispy, by the way!). And the Agua de Jamaica; Refreshing, perfectly sweetened, and the ideal complement to my burrito.
What truly sets Tacos y Antojitos Emanuel apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their food. It's clear they take pride in what they do.
We've tried numerous Mexican restaurants in the area, and without a doubt, Tacos y Antojitos Emanuel is the best we've found. The flavors transported us back to our favorite California taquerias. We are already planning our next visit and will be enthusiastically recommending this hidden gem to everyone we know. Read moreExcellent tacos on what I believe we're handmade tortillas which elevated them even more. I tried the Al Pastor, Lengua, and Carne Asada. They seemed a bit on the small side for the price, but quality made up for it. I also enjoyed the Tamarindo Agua Fresca which had a much more organic consistency than most which I believe are made from powder. It had a thicker texture and more vibrant flavor, so I belive it to be home made as well.
The service was average. Wasn't sure where to go because a sign said seat yourself but another customer ordered and paid at the bar so I did the same and then sat, so that was a bit confusing.
The atmosphere was also average. It was fairly slow for sit down traffic but several pickup to go orders occurred while there so they seemed reasonably busy on a lunch hour during the weekday.
Would definitely return and eat more of the...
Read moreQuaint hole in the wall, Mexican fare. Fresh ingredients, herbs, and well prepared meals. My first visit here, I ordered their Taco Tuesday special. Chicken tacos with sauteed onions, cheese, and a heaping serving of freshly chopped cilantro which really made the dish. Delicious. My only critique is they used a rather thick corn tortilla for the taco shell, it was too thick, and heavy, it would flop over when eating a portion of it. I recommended to the waitress, a crispy shell taco shell, would make this simply outstanding. Great meal though, I want to come back and try their other dishes. Very reasonably priced too. I sat down to a great meal for...
