I've been a loyal customer of 3 Fisherman for almost a decade, first going there a couple times a year when my in laws moved here in 2014. My wife and I moved here in 2018 and started going there for date night once or twice a month. Before hurricane Ian hit and shut down there operation, we had falling in love with going there and having a cocktail, watching the sunset and we were going pretty much every Friday.
After hurricane ian, they were shut down for sometime for repairs, and they did some remodeling of the restaurant . When they reopened they set up temporary menu, it had some exciting and delicious new options, along with a few old favorites. When the permanent menus were completed we were disappointed with what stayed and what was removed, but we still loved three fisherman‘s patio, we love the gorgeous view and we enjoy the people who work their, so we continued to come for a few more months. Unfortunately, the food quality was in rapid decline and after five or six disappointing meals, we finally just started to go other places to eat on date night.
We returned recently, probably almost a year in between since we stopped going but decided to stop by there about 3 weeks ago. We had a couple appetizers and drinks, quick casual stay. We decided we would come back again and do dinner another time, give it another try so we went there again yesterday. Zion waited our table, we’ve known him a long time, he’s been our server many of times, and as usual he was fantastic, the drinks were great too.
Unfortunately, the food experience was on par with why we quit going. We asked for a good surf and turf so we did the ribeye steak and shrimp dish. The steak simply put was of poor quality cut of meat and I really don’t believe it would have even qualified as a ribeye. It wasn’t the right temperature but in all reality what was that chef supposed to do with that cut. It’s frustrating to a place you love fall short, given its beautiful view it doesn’t even have to be a great steak, I would have settled for decent.
I just wanted to share my thoughts with the owners, to maybe help them win back loyal customers. I realized going back that I miss going there, I want 3 Fisherman to be my favorite spot again. Here’s hoping they can turn...

Took friends from out of town with super high hopes! Started with a beautiful view! Ordered drinks and appetizers. One of my guests has health issues and can not have spicy. She ordered the calamari with just the marina, never got sauce. We also ordered oysters which were not shucked properly. They were not released from the shell.
We also ordered seafood boil because we were hoping they still had 1.5 and 3 lb crab legs, but didn't. We understood as I live here and reopening menu's are limited. Again, friend ordered with no chorizo or corn, she got it anyway. No big deal again. She gave it to her husband. He ordered fried captains dinner. All dinners cooked good and tasted fabulous!
Service with Sierra was painful to say the least! It was a slow night and not once did she stop by to refil drinks, pull dirty plates and checked on us after each course, hence why we never got marinara for calamari. Thank God for Lori! She saved the night. She refilled waters, made sure we got what was missing and did it with a beautiful smile and attitude!
To be transparent, my family owns restaurants and are still going strong over 50 years. I also have flipped restaurants in trouble. I took a walk around and saw absolutely no leadership in the front of the house. We were seated in the patio and waitresses kept going in and out of the bathroom constantly. I went in at one point before leaving, passing yet another waitress going in. Toilet was filthy with fecal all over it.
I also watched a very friendly and interactive bartender pouring huge shots of Jager into a rock glass. A table of over-served men seated next to a family on the patio flipped the entire tin of condiments on the floor next to them while singing to the music loudy. The lady had to move her diaper bag from getting vinegar and hot sauce all over it. It was loud when it fell and it took quite some time to come clean up.
When walking by the kitchen it seemed organized and lead well. It's a beautiful place with a bunch of young girls that really didn't seem trained. There was no sense of urgency. Really sad. I hope that the service can improve and that owners or managment will be more involved. Super...
Read moreMy husband and I chose to eat here due to the good reviews, but were quickly disappointed. We are pretty easy going, and just expect decent service and food. The waiter was pleasant, but seemed very rushed and distracted... and it wasn’t busy at all. I ordered the majito which was on special.. I asked for the available flavors, and chose the Mango. He said they were out of it (despite just offering it)... so I ordered the strawberry. Not a big deal; but it wasn’t good.. at all. Overly sweet, like it was a mix, and it was very weak... not to mention there was no muddled mint, just a little piece stuck to the top of the cup with a slice of lime... it wasn’t very cold and not refreshing at all. Our appetizers; conch fritters and fried calamari left much to be desired. The sauce for the fritters was very heavy with honey mustard, nothing that I’ve ever been served with for fritters, and it was bitter. The fritters themselves looked like they were frozen... perfectly round and uniform... and mushy and wet inside. The calamari was fine, other than being over cooked. It was still probably the most edible part of our meal. I wanted the cheeseburger, but was told they were out of it, so I ordered the chicken tenders (which were 10$)... I’ve had better chicken tenders from McDonald’s... they were very thin with bland breading... I ordered the collard greens, because the menu said the green beans were canned... turns out the collard greens were too... bland and mushy. I like canned collards and make them regularly at home... but I don’t expect to have them out to eat. My husband got the frog legs ($15)... they were very heavy with bland breading (everything was incredibly bland)... and had very little meat at all on them. He also had the wild rice... which again, were bland. The waiter called me “sir” once, and corrected himself.. again, no big deal on its own... but everything else included just made for a worse experience. He let my husbands tea go empty for about 10 minutes until we had to flag him down. I then got a water to go... and I didn’t even take it from the table, as it was just gross. The only good thing this place has going for it is the location on the water. But not good enough to...
