Rude, volital bartender!! Stopped in for a drink tonight after dinner with my brother from out of town and my spouse to check out Cheeks. It is a fairly new bar restaurant in Marina Town. We bring our out of town guests to Marina Town often. We decided to sit at the inside bar as it was very hot outside. At first appearance, the place was very clean and inviting. They had a guitarist playing good tunes. When we sat down at the bar, there were two ppl behind the bar, one gentleman and one female. Both walked off without acknowledging us. Ok, no big deal. I know the service i ndustry very well, and we get busy and frustrated. The Female came back and was sweet at first. Asked us what we wanted to dri nk. I asked for a Nutrl any flavor but black cherry. She offered pineapple. I said yes. My spouse and brother ordered a Jager bomb on the rocks. The bartender said, " We only have suger free or tropical red bull. At which time I suggested to the boys, vodka, lemonade, and tropical red bull as they do not like sugar-free. They agreed that sounded good. So I asked the bar tender if she had lemonade. She said yes, she did. So we asked for vodka lemonade with tropical redbull. She served up a dark drink that I assume was Jagera and sugar-free red bull. When I said, " That doesn't look like vodka lemonade and tropical redbull." She (the bartender) said I asked you three times and flipped her lid. Grabbed the drinks and tossed them in the sink under the bar with a major violent attitude. When I said wow that's crazy, we don't have to give you our business if you don't want it." She said, "Good, I didn't want to serve you anyways."" I totally understand that a bartender has a right not to serve. But this was not a case. This has nothing to do with alcohol consumption. This bartender was beyond rude and obnoxiously mean and volital. I'm not sure what her trigger was. Just know that normal ppl dont react so violently. Keep an eye on this one!!! Date: June...
Read moreI recently had a fantastic night out at Cheeks, a local bar that has quickly become a go-to spot for me and my friends & family. Located in a vibrant part of town, Cheeks offers a lively atmosphere, great drinks, and friendly service that make for an enjoyable evening.
Walking into Cheeks, I immediately noticed the inviting and trendy decor. The bar is well-designed with a perfect balance of dim lighting and vibrant colors, creating a cozy and energetic ambiance. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the overall layout of the place is spacious enough to accommodate a decent crowd without feeling overcrowded.
Cheeks also boasts an impressive lineup of entertainment options. From live music performances to themed nights and even bingo night, there is always something happening to keep guests entertained. The bar's stage area is well-equipped and hosts both local and up-and-coming artists, adding to the overall lively atmosphere. The staff also actively engages with patrons, ensuring everyone feels involved and entertained throughout the night.
The service at Cheeks is top-notch. The bar staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They create a welcoming and inclusive environment, making you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. The wait times for drinks are reasonable, and the bartenders are always happy to strike up a conversation while crafting your beverage.

Got there about 11:15am on a Wednesday right after they opened. Place was not packed but was clean and neat. We sat outside at the Patio or the Tiki which ever you prefer. Waitress came over right away and took our drink order. We had a couple questions about the drinks and food which she answered fast, she was friendly and knew all about the menu. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich Blackened which came with Lettice, Tomato, Onion, and Pickles. My wife ordered the same thing Grilled Not Blackened. We both picked Fries as our side. I usually order a little Mayo on the side to add to my Sandwich just to see if they remember to give it to me. Our Sandwiches came out fast. This Sandwich was huge with packed with all the extras. It was very good, and the Lettice, Tomatoes and Onions tasted fresh. The Blackened Seasoning was spot on, and our Fries were amazing. These Fries were the best I’ve had in this area. Guess what they did not forget the Mayo. All our food was hot and so tasty. Even the Beer was cold. Out waitress was very good and checked on us many times. Special shout out to TJ one of the waiters I really like his vibe and he was there to help, and he did liven up the place. Sitting outside the view of the docks, water and boats made our day. You can’t go wrong by stopping in and enjoying what the have to offer. Next time we want to go there when they have music playing on the inside stage. I must give this place a 5 out of 5 stars for the food, great service, and good vibes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More...
