My experience at Viet-Nomz was absolutely horrible. I called and ordered ahead for take out on Sunday June 13, 2021.

I ordered the Surf N' Turf bowl. This bowl is supposed to come with grilled steak, fish bites, rice, over easy egg, Nom-Nom sauce, Nuoc-Nom sauce, and I added extra Spicy-Nom sauce. First and foremost, the steak is not anything close to steak. They should rename it gristle beef. It was pure gristle and impressively had a crunch with every bite. I found it disgusting, however my dog absolutely loved it. If you enjoy dog food, this gristle beef is for you. There was about 4 small pieces of fish in the bowl in contrast to about a pound of white rice. The egg which was ordered over easy, was not easy at all. However, it came nice and hard and therefore unable to provide any lubrication to this dry meal as I tried to force it down. I am sure some of you are asking how could this be dry when you had 3 sauces and even asked for extra? Well good people, that is a great question to which I have no answer. And shocker, they don't either.

The next meal that was ordered was the Chicken Pho. Hopefully you are not expecting this to be cooked and especially not to be provided with the herb bowl, which is an option to have when ordering. All of the noodles and veggies were completely raw. I guess that their cook times on the over easy egg and noodles got mixed up. Raw noodles but overcooked egg. Thankfully the chicken was not raw, so the silver lining here is that nobody got sick, not even the dog!

Their previously frozen vegetable spring rolls were exactly like they sound. Frozen veggies mixed into a mush and then fried to a delicious golden brown.

Please do not expect a quick turnaround if sending an email to be made whole. They will ignore them until you follow up multiple times and then get back to you about a week later. I had the pleasure to speak with Chris. Chris was a good guy and wanted to hear about my complaints and also how he could make the experience better. All I wanted was a refund so I could forget this ever happened. I was told that company policy does not allow that because the food was prepared and then taken. Of course it was taken Chris, I ordered it to go so I did not have the privilege or opportunity to return it while in the store. He did graciously offer to give me two new bowls, however my dog had already eaten today so I figured I would pass. Pass on it I did, pass on it my dog did, and if I were you I would pass on this...

When we heard another pho restaurant was opening closer to UCF and Winter Park, we were really excited to have closer access. I took my parents to the soft opening because I heard they had vegetarian pho. There was plenty of parking and the shop was located in a quaint strip on University Blvd. The decor was industrial meets modern rustic with an open kitchen concept. It's a cozy restaurant so seating can be limited but we had no problem getting a table and the turnaround seemed to be pretty quick. I noticed a lot of people getting take-out as well.

It's a fast casual restaurant so you order and pay first and then they will bring out the food to you. The service was great. The servers brought out waters in cute mason jars as soon as my parents sat down while I ordered. Since it was our first time, I ordered vegetarian pho, a beef pho, a pork vermicelli dish, beef tacos, tofu tacos and 2 Vietnamese coffees to try a little bit of everything. There's a cute herb bar next to the ordering area where we helped ourselves to beansprouts, culantro, limes, and jalapeños.

The food was great! Being Vietnamese, we can get a little picky about our Cafe Sua Da (coffee) since normal coffee taste watered down and bland but my parents enjoyed theirs. They also really enjoyed their vegetarian pho! My mom can definitely tell when a restaurant uses meat broth with their vegetarian pho because it makes her feel sick. Vietnomz vegetarian pho was all vegetarian and she was really happy. Both my parents complimented their flavors and the tofu, which was lightly tempura-ed. I also appreciate that the pho was not a single clumped mass at the bottom of the bowl, but rather the way pho noodles should be. In terms of the non-vegetarian foods, all the meats were tender and well-seasoned. The noodles and tacos were delicious as well.

We're so happy to welcome another Vietnamese restaurant to the neighborhood. We will...

I came here six years ago and loved the food. It was actually one of my first real experiences with Vietnamese cuisine, as I had very recently moved to this real city of Orlando. Now that my statute of limitation had passed, I was able to go back and try it again! We got a few things take-out and enjoyed it with our cats watching some TV.

First came the Banh Mi (Vietnamese sub, served pork, topped with pickled carrots & daikon, shredded cucumber, cilantro, and smeared with aioli butter on a French hoagie).

This was excellent. Just like a po' boy, the entire sandwich hinges on the bread. This French hoagie roll was nice and soft, but also did a great job of containing all of the ingredients. Juicy, succulent pork and tons of fresh veg made this a really good banh mi.

Then came the Summer Rolls (2) Vietnamese fresh-wrapped rolls, with steamed shrimp, vermicelli noodles, basil leaf, and shredded lettuce. Served with our homemade Peanut Sauce) and Spring Rolls (2) Vietnamese fried spring rolls, wrapped with pork, noodles, and shredded vegetables. Served with our Nuoc-Nom Fish Sauce).

Very delicious. The summer rolls could have used one more shrimp in there, but the existing shrimp were large and plump. Love the noodles and the freshness of all the veg. Dip it in that thick, creamy peanut sauce, and boom, amazing. Spring rolls were very crispy, not too oily, and perfectly soaked up that fish sauce. Yummy.

We finished off with a big bowl of Pho Noodle Soup (Vietnamese noodle soup served with Eye Round Steak and Beef Balls, white onions, scallions, cilantro and your choice of herbs from our Herb Bar). Deliciousss. A nice, deeply flavored broth, meats were wonderfully tender, and when you get it to-go, they give you the broth separately so you can pour it in separately.

Overall, this was a very satisfying meal. Even better than I remember it being all those years ago. I'll have to...
