Waffle House — Restaurant in Florida

I do recommend Waffle House. However I also recommend that this particular location of Waffle House have a small conversation with a cook named Mr. Timothy, or at least I believe that is his name, I cannot be sure as when I asked him for his name instead of showing me his name tag he instructed his co worker to give it to me instead. I have been a fan of Waffle House my whole life. my mom worked at the one on Navy Blvd. in the 80's when I was a baby. I literally grew up on it. Good food, great service, non judgemental environment. What more can one ask for? I entered this establishment and there was one couple dining in and two gentlemen waiting for to go plates. I was addressed and had my food order taken in an acceptable amount of time. After I made my order I got a little comfortable and tried to get a feel for this one as it was my first visit to this particular location. Mr. Timothy was wrapping up cleaning up the grills. My order was taken but he was not allowing the waiter and waitress to call orders as he needed to be thorough, when he got done he instructed the waiter to call his orders ( which btw did not include mine) the waiter apparently had what appeared to be 5 or 6 to go orders. So as 30 mins passed my order still had not even been called. also most of those 5 or 6 to go orders walked out because he cooked their food one piece at a time and it was all cold. My order got called at about 40 mins in. I understand the concept of first come first serve however, is it not customary to handle fine in orders before to go orders? I did address Mr. Timothy as respectfully as possible as he was actually cooking my food, as at that point I could have not cared less about the food, I was really just tired of listening to him talk to himself and his co workers instead of getting the orders out and hungry people fed. to compliment him, the food tastes great and actually only took him 5 mins to cook, and that is exactly why I went to Waffle House tonight, had that happened within 15 - 20 mins with both other dine in customers and carry out orders, I wouldnt have a thing to say. 35 min. Before the cook allows my waitress to call her order. While everything he cooked in that 35 mins ends up being a write off because those customers refuse to take cold food home to eat. That is simply un acceptable...

Selective hearing along with the total amount of f#@ks given is extremely limited . To be clear this review and message with a 2 star rating specifically for my this evening not reflective on usual service in which I visit a minimum of once a week. So the reasoning for this negative review today is even after I purposely repeat it like to go order very carefully still somehow was made incorrect. An attempt to call and try returning for correct order all four locations within 10 miles didn't have the option to speak with anyone and the only way to contact an employee was to drive back to the location. Now is my final point for this review is to clarify that I am not a complainer for which 20 years of my life has been spent and dedicated to Kitchen work making this the first review that has a complaint attached however do to actually repeating myself slowly and specifically in order to increase chances of correct order I still end up with an incorrectly made meal. Also this it's not directed at the cook, as far as I'm aware May what was written on the ticket, Unless somehow or for whatever reason he took it upon himself to make the order in correct.
