Wawa is incredible! This Wawa has all the staples you'd expect from a fine Wawa establishment; food counter, custom beverage station, somebody running a register, a supervisor holding the door shut screaming that someone isn't allowed inside, and things on shelves. In fact, as far as things on shelves go, they always make sure the shelves are shelved with things one would want to acquire from shelves with things. Top notch.
Now, I know what you're thinking, they don't have the electric car charging stations here in Pasco Wawa on 19, but they make up for it in shelved things, entertainment, and a clear sense of efficient direction from the staff. After a long day at work, it's convenient for me to order food from my mobile app, and then stop by for the convenient experience of picking it up, which they have made an absolute breeze. The process is simple!
There's a large conspicuous sign pointing to directly where you should pick up your prepaid food items. It's hanging directly above the register, which says employees only. Now, they don't want you, the paying customer, to go through all the hassle of grabbing your food from a shelf. No, it must be delivered. To your hand. From authorized hands. From the authorized space. From which you've been designated to pick it up. If it's there. And there are available authorized hands.
Otherwise, it might be elsewhere. In an area with ample authorized hands that aren't available. But they'll happily explain that you should speak up, since they have no idea why you're standing there. This is fair, since standing at a Wawa food counter is an enjoyable way to pass time when you're not waiting patiently for some food item behind that counter. I'd imagine they frequently get all kinds of thrill seekers looking to just stand there gawking in awe at the food prep prowess on display.
In fact, last week I took my significant other there for date night and we spent 2.5 hours just standing there watching silently. Although, occasionally she'd speak up and opine on what might happen next, and I'd have to shush her and remind her not to give away spoilers to others watching. Be respectful of the experience, ya know?
Needless to say, their helpful direction to speak up/wait patiently in line, pick up at the counter or register, go to an empty space where there is no staff and wait some more, or occupy a busy space with a ton of staff, where your food is not, is all very clear and concise which makes the entire experience more enjoyable. In fact, I'd even recommend this adventure over such other fun activities as sitting in gridlock on 19, or arriving early for dental work. If you can find the time to set aside to visit this little gem, you'll waste even more time in a state of arbitrary confusion than you did reading...
Read moreThis is the worst Wawa I have ever been to. I have been here on multiple occasions for one thing and one thing only. A cup of cappuccino. Unfortunately the machine that dispenses my favorite beverage is never working when I go there. Today was especially disturbing because when I calmly left the store and All hope of having my cup of cappuccino I noticed a service vehicle in the parking lot with the name Wawa in big red letters. And the driveway/maintenance guy was standing next to the truck smoking a cigarette and having a pleasant phone conversation. Why is it so difficult to keep that one machine working? All I know is that a monkey could be able to do it as long as he stays off his phone.
Here's a little update on my last visit to this Wawa store. Things are definitely looking up! I was able to get a piping hot cup of cappuccino out of the machine that doesn't ever seem to be working when I get there. This time was completely different. The cappuccino machine was fully operational and clean and served me up the one thing I need to start moving in the morning. Ive also noticed that the staff seem to have a different attitude about working there. They were happy and laughing with the customers and still kept the lines moving efficiently. Maybe I'm just getting soft in My old age but I see definite improvement here. As always though the place was clean but this time I noticed more smiling... Including myself 😃 Keep it up guys...
Read moreI really needed to use the restroom, but wasn't able to because of a homeless woman made a make shift place to sleep in the restroom I told the manager and she had no concern regarding the issue.
I was told it nothing she can do because she was in the stall and, yes she was in one the stall but her belongs was on the floor of both stalls. The manager just shoed me off as if she knew that woman was in the bathroom and it was ok she had somewhere to sleep and rest. I am not discriminating because I was homeless once, but she could have went to see what I was talking about even if she didn't confront the homeless woman. She was more concerned that the homeless person was comfortable and not the concern of a paying customer using the restroom. I know they must know this lady (homeless person) because I have been to this location several times and alway see this lady at this very same store charging her phone at plug that looks looked but is open with the lock closed on the side of the store they know or the manager knows 🤔 that...
