WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I ordered and paid online in advance with an almost 1 1/2 hour pickup time. My order was not on the pickup shelf as promised in my confirmation email. Was this not enough time to prepare my food, Chipotle Mexican Grill-Florissant? I felt the time was pretty generous. When I could not find my order on the pickup shelf after searching several bags, I spoke to the young man at the cashier regarding my order. He had to search for my order on the register and print off my receipt. He stated "someone will make your order now". Really?! There were about 5 customers already in line and I just assumed my order took precedence do to the timing and payment already received. I stepped aside and saw the young cashier lay my receipt next to the young man at the front of the prep table (the one who preps the tortillas, bowls, salads, etc. with the meat). The young man prepping did not notice my receipt and was focusing on keeping the accumulating line flowing. Mind you, I ordered my meal online and early for a reason but this Chipotle Mexican Grill did not seem to be too concerned about my schedule. After about 4 minutes of watching everyone else's meals get prepared, I asked the young man at the cashier again about my order. He tried so hard to avoid eye contact and just muttered that my order is next. UNACCEPTABLE! By this time, my patience is thinning out. I walk to the front of the prep table to ask the young man prepping about my receipt lying next to him that has not been made yet. He tells me that he will make my order next. After a couple more preps and I know he felt my tension, the young man prepping began my order. I just assumed that he would make my entire meal...again, I pre-ordered and pre-paid and now we are climbing up to almost 15 minutes of me standing and watching all meals getting prepared but mine. Nope! He slides my two meals down to a very impatient, disgruntled Chipotle Mexican Grill-Florissant employee. She reads the receipt and just starts throwing...THROWING...my meals together. I honestly counted 5 strands of lettuce on one of my meals. I asked for just a little bit more and I was ignored. Okay, noted...no worries, it was already planned to be told to the world in this review. I had 2 sides of tomato salsa, 2 sides of corn, and a side of guacamole. The disgruntled young lady (I really want to shout out her appearance so you know who I am referring to but I will leave that for the District Manager :)) slides my messy meals and receipt to another young lady who is just standing there playing with her hands. The disgruntled young lady shouts my sides to this young lady to get her to do something. I hear that my guacamole was not mentioned. So, I say "and a side of guacamole". The disgruntled young lady hears this but did not hear me ask for a little bit more lettuce, but I digress. The disgruntled young lady picks up my receipt, puts it in my face, and says "There is no guacamole on here, see!" Oooooh, Thank Goodness for growth and maturity because in a split second I was ready to pounce because EVERYONE in the world knows you DO NOT get in or put things in people's face! I instantly thought of consequences and pointed to the receipt that at the bottom it clearly says "SD Guacamole"! At this point, I am DONE with this irritated, mouthy lady; I tell the not-so-busy young lady to please get my guacamole. Now, the customer in front of me was quite indecisive and walked down the prep line a few times to say what she forgot to add, causing her order to go backward for preparation instead of forward for completion. I overhear the disgruntled young lady say "This lady can't make up her mind..." right in front of customers. Is this how employees are trained to behave, Chipotle Mexican Grill-Florissant? In the end, after over 20 minutes of being in this store, I received my messy meals, sides, and guacamole. This rating gets a gracious 1 star only because of the young man prepping food. He had the more pleasant tone amongst his coworkers and seemed to work the hardest. I WILL...
Read moreIt’s so crazy because I was coming to share my terrible experience, then I saw that most of the recent reviews shared the same issue. First things first, I understand that the staff are typically younger and so I’m calling for no one’s job. HOWEVER, I am calling for chipotle to do immediate retraining for their staff. A new manager needs to be in place or something.
Firstly, I visited about a month ago and the food station had clearly not been wiped down all day. They clearly clean this establishment once in the morning, and then when they close. Unacceptable.
Secondly, at that time I wanted the quesadilla but the gentleman informed me that I had to order it online. Perfectly fine. Fast forward to my most recent visit which consisted of that online Quesadilla order that came with 3 sides. I ordered the quesadilla with sour cream, guac and honey chipotle vinaigrette. I got to the restaurant, and what seemed to be the entire staff (all females), was standing around the register gossiping. So, I announce myself and asked if anyone would help me after walking to the register and not being greeted nor helped. One lady asked me how could she help and I said I had a pickup order.
She thens turn to the lady standing next to her and says, “Pickup order for Thomas.” The young lady she was talking to lifts her hand as if she was swiping the air and pointing. I look and say “what does that mean?” She says nothing, but continues to make the same gesture with attitude. So I turn and look, and se my to go order on the shelf. I said , “Oh, well ooooohhhh Kay then,” because I was never greeted nor helped properly atp.
So, I check my food and I notice a side is missing from my quesadilla plate but I was too bothered to think much of it. It wasn’t until I was close to home that I realized my Chipotle vinaigrette was missing. However, I thought that maybe it’s in the cup that they prepackage them in. Once I got home, I realized they hadn’t given it to me at all. So, what I do? Return back to the store. The lady who I talk to once I arrive informs me that they are out. ATP I’m livid. I say, “why didn’t anyone say that? You guys were just not going to accommodate me?”
The lady apologizes and ask what third side or sauce can she get, I said more cheese.” She asks the same young lady who did the hand gesture to fix me a cup of cheese. That young lady said no words, fix the cheese cup and slid it to me across the counter before she walked away.
That is what prompted me to write. This location needs a retraining and a revamping. They need corporate to step in and correct...
Read moreThis used to be a great Chipotle location when it first opened, but it has gone done tremendously within the past year.
The staff used to be friendly, very upbeat, and talkative to customers, but now most of the staff is very rude. Some of the staff members don’t want to be there and customers can tell that by their attitude and the way they treat and respond to customers. The employee that is the rudest to customers I’ve noticed is the cashier with the tattoos on her arms. After reading other Google reviews of this Chipotle location, I’ve noticed other customers complaining about this same girl in their reviews. She gives customers eye rolls, attitude, never smiles, and makes derogatory comments about customers and their orders. As a customer, I felt like a bother to the employees working here. I felt so uncomfortable eating in the establishment due to the employees’ attitudes, I left and ate my food somewhere else I felt more welcomed at.
The food has also gone down, too. The food used to be hot and tasted good, but every time I have eaten food from this Chipotle in the past couple of months, I ended up getting sick later on in the day. The soda machine used to have good soda products in it, but every time I have gone in lately, more than half of the soda machine is out of soda and none of the employees bothers to fix it, but instead, puts post-it notes over the soda dispenser saying don’t use. Today they only had 2 sodas in the dispenser out of almost 10 soda products. Needless to say, this has gotten so bad and regular, when my friends and I go here, we go purchase a drink at QT first and then come to Chipotle for food. We shouldn’t have to do this!
After my experience with the employees today at lunch, as well as, seeing how the employees treated other customers so rudely, I will not be returning anytime soon. I will take my business to a different Chipotle location or a different restaurant nearby.
Chipotle Florissant, you have lost my business until changes and improvements are made at...
