Five Below — Local services in Florissant

If I could leave a review without any stars, I would. I wasn't greeted upon entering the store. I went to get 2 exercise mats however they were on the top shelf. I saw one employee go in the back and let up the door...I assume she was waiting on a truck. I walked towards the front and asked her cashier if someone could help me by getting the exercise mats down. Her response "see if the lady in the back can help". I explained I only see the 1 and she seems to be busy. The cashier just stood there. I went to the mats, stood on my toes, and brought the box down over my head which is a huge safety concern. I asked the cashier for a discount being as though I had to do the work of an employee when I'm a consumer, she simply said oh she's not back yet. Has customer service been thrown out of the window? Pretty sure there was some form of discrimination happening here. When I entered the store the lady at the front was behind her register, I noticed a young lady and a kid checking out and when I finally came to the front to check out all the registers showed closed. She walks to me and ask if I’m ready to check out I said yes and she starts to check my things out. At this point being forced to use self checkout at businesses was not ideal but I confirmed initially. As she started to check out my things I asked isn’t this self check out, she said yes but they made us turn all the registers off and have us check you out. What was the difference if me and the other young lady. I dunno but if you have self check out let us utilize it. It’s simple. I simply love this place. Everything under one roof. I purchase just about everything each visit.

My only complaint is the headphones in EVERY LOCATION. I've told them time and time again about the headphones the designs are beautiful but it seems like it's the reject dump lot for malfunctioning headphones. Some never work, others for a little while, only one ear, etc. I've tried many headphones because I have a lot of friends and family but I'm also a music lover and enjoy many different designs and types of headphones. I might be What you call a collector of sorts. Please please get better head phone stock.
