Started the evening by having to wait 15 minutes for a restaurant that was definitely NOT busy. There was plenty of open seating and it was NOT busy. When we finally got our table and sat down. It took so long for the waitress to finally come over to us to greet us inquire about drinks... we already had our orders ready to go. The waitress mentioned a soup as a side, so I agreed to fries and a side of soup. She did NOT mention any sort of up charge or any additional fee for going with the soup. After waiting a long time we eventually did get our order of bread and drinks, the bread we were given did not come with a knife. Had to pull out my pocket knife to cut the bread. Because getting the attention of the waitress was not happening. I tried to wave down the waitress several times, when I could see her. When she did walk by and I do mean walk, she was not paying attention to me waving or saying excuse me and would walk right by. When we got our food, they were little skimpy on the fries, as well as the fries were so salty that I could not eat them. I've eaten at other longhorn steakhouse before and never had this issue. As for the 6-oz steaks that we have had before at St Peter's LongHorn steakhouse they seemed a lot smaller here. in fact compare mine to hers, hers was twice as thick as mine but the same diameter. (As shown in picture.) When she finally did come to check on us after we have been done eating for quite some time, she got us boxes and the check. Which took another long time to receive the check. Upon inspection of the check noticed an upcharge for soup. Again a very long wait time while I tried to wave her down to inquire about the soup error. Brought the soup to her attention. She said that was "her bad" that she did not mention the upcharge for that. She said she would take care of it, as well as add my military discount to the check. Again a very long wait to receive the adjusted check. When we did receive the check my military discount was applied, but the soup was not removed.(As seen in picture)I then called for a manager, explained the situation with the service and everything. She said they are understaffed, I said I can understand that, but this place is not busy at all. She's walking around, without any kind of hustle. I can completely understand if they were busy. But they were not. The manager said being understaffed she is only allowed 4 tables. That makes this even worse. If you only have 4 tables max, why was she not coming by, asking if we need a refill on drinks,(cause that never happened )or anything else. Being in the service industry a couple times in my life, I know what hustling, running around after tables, and overall working for those tips looks like. I didn't see any servers there hustling and moving for tips. Everyone just casually walked around. We were there for over 2 hours. Everything there was extremely slow, I'm giving it one extra star because the manager did remove the soup as requested. But there was a lot of extra time wasted to get that done. Overall would not recommend...
Read moreFirst off my husband and I are professional Longhorn steakhouse eaters. We literally travel everywhere and eat longhorn in different states and we order the same thing each time so WE KNOW OUR STEAKS AND LONGHORN FOOD ITEMS.
This review is for July 21st 2024
But this St. Louis location has to be the worst I’ve had in a long time.
We got there and they had a 30 mins wait with multiple booths empty and my husband asked for a booth. When we got seated, the hostess took us to a regular table and no booth and when we told her about our booth request we got faces from the hostess and the manager had to come and seat us by finding us a booth. So many booths were dirty and they had to clean one for us to seat down.
We seat down and there’s NO ONE!!! Literally NO ONE TALKING TO US FOR 10 -15 mins. Trust me I counted. I had to flag someone to at least find our server and mind you people are walking by us and literally nothing is happening. Then the manager happened to walk by and asked us if we had someone come by and we said no and then he takes our appetizers orders.
By then, we’re both like no this is going to work out and my husband says he just wants to drink instead. We ordered the new pomegranate margarita and it’s actually very good. And the wings were good as well but let’s talk about food.
I ordered the outlaw ribeye with 8 shrimp add on as I usually do and the ribeye comes out burned and dark and the shrimp comes in a small serving plate!!! Like huh?? I specifically said I wanted medium well and no char on my steak and so I sent it back. And how can I eat in small serving plate? Makes no sense.
Our server seemed to be either shy or avoiding us. But I had to ask for condiments and it took forever just to get and sending my food back was not welcomed with a smile either.
Finally get my steak back after 30 mins and by that time I was ready to go and didn’t even want to eat anything and I don’t even think it was the ribeye, probably another steak and it was medium (not medium well like I asked for) and so it was TASTELESS WITH NO SEASONING. BLAND. Same with the rice… just BLAND! Yuck..🤮 So disappointed. So disappointed. So disappointed.
But we still tipped him good and we left everything else. It just seems as though there was no love put into the service or food… just people working for a check. And I normally don’t write long reviews unless necessary but this was needed. Never coming back here again. Period!!!!!!...
Read moreFirst of all, it was my husband birthday. I wanted it to be a special day for him. I decided to take out an order. I went to the online site to order our meals. The 1st thing that happened was I selected the steak, then the baked potato, then the salad with ranch dressing. I get an opps saying you didn't order your salad, so I repeat this again. After 25 to minutes, my order was ready, so my husband picked it up. When he got the order home, we had the steaks with four salads. I didn't realize this opps cause me to order four salads until I opened the Longhorn app again and entered my order again, letting me see that it is a glitch on the online app. I called the Longhorn Florissant location. I explained to the cashier that I ordered baked potatoes and not four salads. The cashier said I would need to talk to the manager, and she put me on hold. I was on hold for 5 minutes or so when I got in my car and drove back to Longhorn while on hold. 15 minutes later, I arrived at Longhorn, still on hold, with my order in the bag. The cashier again tells me I need to talk to the manager when the manager comes to talk me me I First let him know with my phone in my hand that I am on hold waiting for him to answer the. He then reached for their phone and answered it. Find the line I'm on get the call disconnected. Then, ask me how he can help me. I explained about the gitch in the online order process and so on. He offered to give me the baked potatoes I explained. It's now 30 to 35 minutes later, the steaks are cold, and he then takes the order and has the cashier to take my order again to make it right. 30 minutes later, my order is ready. I get the curbside message. I put my parking spot number, suv the color of the car. I'm waiting no one comes out about 5 minutes. I send my husband in to get the order. He came back to me saying the cashier said we needed to pay again. What!! I go back to Longhorn cashier, explained to the cashier that I just paid $69.00 plus for the order I bought back to them. The manager came back to the window and void that order so that I would not have to pay again. ??? Let me mention he was giving me 25 percent of that order because of my troubles. The 25 percent off would have been nice if it had happened. But I really got nothing to compensate for this bad experience . This is the worst experience I've ever at this Longhorn. Will I go back?...
