I had custom matts made for 2 pictures by Jackie in the frame department. I'm not sure Michael's knows what a gem they have with this employee. She was amazing at helping me figure out what would work, (both pictures were odd sizes and I needed frames for them as well) I needed help not only with the sizes but the color of the matts and wanted to try to keep the price down as well. She was amazing! Hard to believe this quality help is available at Michael's as I would expect this type of service at a high end frame shop. Anyway, as promised she called me when the matts were ready, she advised me that there was a huge frame sale on and helped me find the appropriate frames and while I was there the 2nd time, she greeted a guest who she had obviously worked with in the past and remembered him & commented on what he had ordered. A return customer. of course! I will certainly return. It's a shame to find out that although she has the day off for Thanksgiving, when I asked if it was a paid holiday, she said "sadly, no". No Biggie, patience is of virtue. Possibly something has changed since the pandemic, well a lot has. On a recent visit to the location in Florissant, MO I went to purchase an item that had a sale shelf tag on the item which had expired. I thought in my past experience you are granted this price. It’s not the consumer’s fault the ad tag was inadvertently missed. The new sale had started which included an additional savings. Unfortunately, the Manager/Shift Leader did not honor it. Read moreExtremely upset with how I was treated. We had received as a gift a cookie sheet that was too large for our older homes oven and just wished to exchange the item for something we could use. We were given the actual store receipt from the gift giver and I could see they had used a coupon on the item. However I am not asking for money back just the value of the item to use on a like item was possibly even looking at (2) smaller sheets and gladly pay the full retail difference but was told that in no way was this possible they would only give me the discounted rate and would not offer any discount on exchanged item.
